Overview

In a world leaning into AI, connection is your last unfair advantage. While 84% of leaders see AI as the future, 81% of consumers feel it’s just a cost-cut. This is the Connection Gap. As a 16-year CEO, 200-mile ultramarathoner, and survivor of profound tragedy, I help sales and leadership teams bridge the void between performance and peace.

Using "The Connection Lab" framework, I provide real tools to align who you are with how you lead. Move beyond transactional business to transformational human connection.

What to expect

When Mike Cameron takes the stage, audiences experience more than a presentation—they experience a story that challenges the way they think about leadership, resilience, and human connection. As one audience member said "Mike doesn't just talk about emotional connection, he actually creates it!"

Mike combines powerful storytelling, real-life lessons, and practical strategies that audiences can immediately apply in their work and lives. His presentations are engaging, authentic, and deeply relatable, blending humor, vulnerability, and insight in a way that keeps audiences fully engaged from beginning to end.

Audiences can expect to hear compelling stories from Mike’s journey as a business leader, endurance athlete, and mental health advocate. From leading one of Canada’s most successful mortgage companies to running 200-mile ultramarathons through the mountains, Mike uses these experiences to illustrate powerful lessons about perseverance, mindset, and the importance of connection.

One of the most impactful parts of Mike’s presentations is his ability to speak openly about difficult topics—especially men’s mental health and emotional suppression—while creating a space where people feel safe to reflect, learn, and grow. His message resonates strongly with leaders, teams, and organizations that want to build stronger cultures and healthier workplaces.

Event planners who hire Mike get a speaker who is professional, easy to work with, and committed to delivering value to the audience. He takes the time to understand the goals of the event and tailors his message to ensure it connects with the specific audience in the room.

Audiences leave Mike’s presentations with:

• A new perspective on the role emotional connection plays in leadership and performance
• Practical tools for improving communication, resilience, and team culture
• A deeper understanding of how supporting mental well-being benefits individuals and organizations
• Inspiration to take meaningful action in their personal and professional lives

Mike’s presentations are ideal for leadership conferences, corporate events, mental health initiatives, association meetings, and organizations that want to create cultures where people can perform at their best while feeling supported and connected.

About

Mike Cameron is a keynote speaker, and three-time TEDx speaker who helps leaders and organizations rediscover the power of human connection in a world that increasingly pulls us apart.

With over 30 years of leadership and sales experience—including 16 years as CEO of one of Canada’s most successful mortgage companies—Mike understands the pressure leaders face to perform, produce, and deliver results. But he also knows that behind every high-performing organization are human beings navigating stress, uncertainty, and the quiet weight of responsibility.

Mike’s work sits at the intersection of leadership, emotional intelligence, and mental well-being. Through powerful storytelling and practical insights, he shows audiences how emotional connection is not a soft skill but a performance advantage that drives stronger teams, healthier workplaces, and better results.

His message is deeply personal.

In 2015, Mike’s girlfriend was murdered by her ex-boyfriend, who then took his own life. In the aftermath of that tragedy, Mike began asking difficult questions about men, emotional suppression, and why so many struggle in silence. That journey led him to create spaces for men to talk openly about mental health, leadership, and connection.

Today, Mike has facilitated hundreds of men’s groups and speaks across North America about the role emotional connection plays in leadership, resilience, and workplace culture.

Mike is also an ultramarathon runner who has completed some of the world’s most demanding endurance races, including the Sinister 7 and Tahoe 200. He often draws on lessons from the mountains—resilience, persistence, and the power of community—to illustrate how people and teams overcome challenges together.

Audiences appreciate Mike’s rare ability to combine authenticity, humor, and lived experience with practical takeaways they can apply immediately.

Whether he is speaking to executives, frontline teams, or conference audiences, Mike delivers presentations that leave people thinking differently about leadership, mental health, and what it truly means to support one another.

When he’s not speaking or coaching, Mike lives in the Canadian Rockies where he continues to explore the mountains on long trail runs and adventures.
