About
"Think back to the last time rock radio was enjoyable to listen to. That's what Kenley Young sounds like."
Kenley is a Charleston, S.C., resident and veteran singer-songwriter, with years of experience playing venues of all kinds: bars, restaurants, festivals, fundraisers, private events and more. He specializes in original solo material, but also '80s, '90s, pop, country and alt-rock covers. Over the years, he's been fortunate to share the stage with a number of excellent artists: from Mike Watt to Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion; from Nine Days ("Story of a Girl") and Mark Bryan (Hootie and the Blowfish) to Nashville legend Phil Lee and members of Washed Out and the Polyphonic Spree. His influences are varied, but you can detect hints of Elvis Costello, Elliott Smith, Jason Isbell and even Toad the Wet Sprocket in his work. You can find him on Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud and Bandcamp.
