What to expect
Although being directly associated with the world of HipHop, specific to Griselda Records collaborations, this should not neglect from the fact that Keisha Plum is a poet first. Her style is so unique in that the subject matter of her poetry can range from love, lust, romance, fantasy, societal and political themes, Black culture, luxury, storytelling, street talk, freestyles, to considerably darker, gritty, even gangsta style of delivery and prose.
Keisha Plum has curated and carved out a niche lane for a very dedicated fanbase and is seeking to create new supporters and fans of her work and art through more performances.
Please expect a professional, polished and well-rehearsed poet who is aware of stage presence, lighting, audience engagement with yet a very unique, intimate, personal delivery, closely associated with a raw, underground vibe and aesthetic.
Keisha Plum can perform with a corded microphone yet prefers one without. She can perform standing or seated, and sometimes if available with a music stand to hold written poetry, which she may sometimes perform if it is a new poem specific to that event or city.
Keisha Plum performs majority of her poetry from memory, either a cappella or with the accompanying show tracks with a house DJ or DJ of her own, as long as a proper sound check can be completed at venue, day before or on the day of, with a scheduled and appropriate timeline.
Keisha Plum has performed in front of 10 people to 6000 people, has been a part of 3 major traveling tours, performed at festivals, she has also curated multiple solo performances across the country and in the city she currently resides in, which is Atlanta, GA.
