Overview

One of the very few harpsichordists in the tri-state area available for weddings, funerals, and all other private events. More unique both sound-wise and visually than a pianist or guitarist, and will add an extra layer of dimension that your guests (particularly Early and Baroque music lovers!) will admire and find memorable. I also own one of the rare, currently discontinued Roland C-30 Harpsichords that are 100% portable and electronic, despite looking and sounding astonishingly close to an acoustic. Should your venue not have a harpsichord, or if renting one is out of the budget, this option still allows for the full harpsichord experience.

Made my bridal shower all the more special!

Kate's piano playing was absolutely beautiful and enhanced the experience at my bridal shower. Kate was so nice and professional, and is so talented. She even played some Taylor Swift songs for me :) The classical music was such a special touch and I would highly recommend Kate for your next event. Thanks a million, Kate!

Great wedding harpsichordist

Kate played at my wedding and did a wonderful job. She really helped to set the mood. There were a number of guests who said her playing was a really nice touch. They let me know that her playing added to the atmosphere of the event.

What to expect

It's your event....just let me know your needs, and I am happy to work with you to make all aspects headache free. For historical events or faires, I do own a Baroque period costume.

About

Kate is one of the few musicians who absorbed and perfected the art of authentic harpsichord performance. While studying multiple key instruments in college (piano, organ, and harpsichord), she gravitated toward the elegant and sparkling sounds of the harpsichord. After earning a BM in Performance at Keene State, she spent countless years listening and learning to thousands of Early Music composers, and has a massive arsenal of repertoire. She has a knack for curating impeccable set lists that color events in pure beauty. Her 2014 album, La Plaintive, sold a surprising amount of copies in Europe and Japan upon its release, and continues to make new fans a decade later.
Kate is also available for piano and has a vast library of classical and pop arrangements. Whether it's Mozart or Taylor Swift's greatest hits, the job will get done.

Additional booking notes

If your venue has a harpsichord already in place (or rented for the event), there is no extra labor fee. If you would like me to bring my Roland C-30 Harpsichord, there will be a small labor fee in order to transport and set up/break down my instrument. The Roland C-30 allows for more flexibility as to placement (as long as there is a power outlet located nearby) and it requires no tuning
