Katie is one of the more talented fire performers out there. Unlike many who pick up some simple props and learn some simple moves and shake what their momma gave them and call them selves fire performers/dancers, Katie has honed her craft for well over a decade always learning new tricks, skills and props and teaching them as well in workshops etc. Not to mention she acquires all the needed professional paperwork to perform in the toughest places to work with municipalities like NH and NY she has all the licenses! No easy to do. And of course has insurance too! I've personally learned things in classes from her before and hired her to perform with me as seen on my profile in the group video, as well as performed with/hired by her before and spun fire together countless times outside of gig settingings. She is no doubt one of the most professional and talented fire performers I know. I would highly suggest hiring her/a group of us 😉 for your next event!

I recently hired Katastrophi to provide fire art for the Somerville Open Studios weekend of art. She was extremely professional. I had never hired a fire artist before so she walked me through the logistics and made sure I knew what was needed to make the event safe and entertaining. The event was extremely successful! She killed it.
