For public venues such as hotel lobbies, restaurants and clubs, I generally perform three hours of vocal jazz and pop standards as background music, or as to engage nearby patrons. The scope of my repertoire: Billie Holiday to Adele (with a little Sinatra and Elton John in between).
For private gatherings, you may have a special request (prior to gig), or may need to take breaks for announcements, etc. I'll work with you to provide what you need...
If you're event is in VA and you have a grand piano, that's ideal...or any functioning piano. If your venue has an electronic keyboard, I would want to know what type is available, as keyboards are wildly varied. (If you're hiring near New Orleans, I can provide my own keyboard).

When everyone else my age was listening to the Rolling Stones I was listening to Sergio Mendes and female jazz singers...that should give you an idea. Since then I have enjoyed adding some newer artists to the list. I'm often asked to play Nora Jones, Stevie Wonder, and still everyone wants a good Frank Sinatra tune. Clients also seem happily surprised to hear Besame Mucho in spanish and La Vie En Rose in french.
