I am a professional male belly dancer, either Tribal (earthy, dark, Gothic) or Cabaret (glittery, fun, upbeat) style. I will perform at nearly any event: festivals, birthday parties, wedding showers, weddings and receptions, corporate events, banquets, and BellyGrams. I also teach private classes for those who would like to wow their friends at a party, wedding, or other event!
Kamrah was professional, responsive, and of course, very talented. Our party really enjoyed his performance.

Belly dancing is a beautiful and family-friendly entertainment from the Middle East. A traditional belly dance set starts with an fun and exciting entrance, often accompanied with zils (finger cymbals) and a veil draped mysteriously over the dancer's costume. In the second number, the dancer may perform a beautiful veil piece to show off his stamina and strength as well as his beauty, or daringly balance a sword on his head and dance with it. The third piece is often traditional--an Umm Kulthum song, a Saiidi cane dance--or an exciting Arabic pop-music song. The final piece is the thrilling drum solo, where a dancer shows off his skills and control. Audiences are welcome to tip, clap, zaghareet (the noticeable ululating cry given as an appreciation for a dancer) or even get up and dance as the spirit moves them!
Kamrah started belly dancing in 2002, has been a part of two professional troupes, and has taken classes and workshops with some of the biggest names in belly dancing. His experience is both broad and in depth in all styles of belly dancing. Performances can range from a 15 minute "BellyGram" for the guest of honor (perfect for birthday parties and bachelorette parties) to a full 25-30 minute traditional set (excellent for weddings and other big events). Want to learn a little dancing and have a blast with your friends? A performance set plus a mini-lesson will be perfect for a bachelorette party or a wedding shower. The possibilities are endless, and Kamrah can tailor the perfect show for your event.
As outlined in the contract, the belly dancer will need a safe place to change and store his belongings for the duration of the show. A stage is not necessary, but a clean floor free of debris is required. Grass is fine for outdoor events; please notify the dancer if the performance surface will be stone, cobbles, or any other rough flooring. Bright lights are best for showing off the dancer's beautiful costume, but professional lighting is not necessary. A good sound system is required; please no boom boxes for outdoor events. As the music is an integral part of the performance, the dancer needs to know what kind of system is available. Music can be provided on CD or iPod.
