I can help with your infectious dance party OR a create a laid back, groovy evening of easy listening music as well as everything in between. It all depends on what you're looking for as I pride myself on versatility as I tailor each set to the event. Whatever you're looking for, I am capable of!
As a 2013 alumnus of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts I received a diploma in Contemporary Writing and Production while taking courses that refined and expanded my writing, directing, and production skills. I have over 8 years of experience in production and direction, having first received my Bachelors of Science in General Studies, Music Education K-12 Brass in May of 2010 from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Currently, I am the Music Director for Evolfo Doofeht, an 8-piece gypsy/funk group that tours nationally with artists such as the Counting Crows, Rozzi Crane, Red Baraat, Betty Who, and the Hot 8 Brass Ensemble. As Music Director I take point on the development of compositions, arrangements, chart preparation, direction of rehearsals, and production both in and out of the studio. Beyond the music this role requires a great deal of logistical work including tour planning, contracts, performance paperwork, handling of finances, stage plot, backline information, band rider, as well as transportation and lodging for the group while on tour. Just recently I have stepped into the TV industry composing cues and providing administrative assistance to Big Sound Factory, a music production house specializing in music to be sold to major television networks like NBC, ABC, and CBS. My past experience includes a three-month internship at Electric Lady Studios where I provided general assistance to some of the industries finest sound engineers, including Michael Brauer and Tom Elmhirst. During my time there I facilitated artist research, logged sessions, assisted with daily tasks, and set/striked sessions. I was also in charge of the organization of artist riders for clients like U2, Kid Cudi, Haim, Keith Richards, Patti Smith, John Mayer and Danger Mouse. Working at Electric Lady was highly demanding and a great test to my patience but it was equally rewarding and insightful because I got an honest look into the production and direction of today’s top 40 artists.
I find most of my work as a freelance performer specializing in trumpet performance covering any and all genres as well as an experienced sound technician. I pride myself on professionalism and workability and I look forward to every opportunity.
