March 15, 2022When Michael Buble played in a talent show at the PNE many years back, I said to my friend after the performance, ¨Man that kid is so talented, he is going to be a big start some day!¨
Well I was right then, but truthfully I surely wasn´t certain of it.
Fast forward to 2022, I attend a Fleetwood Mac tribute show in Mexico, and I hear Justin Maki sing and play acoustic guitar and I said to my wife, ¨Man that guy can sing , he is so talented, he is going to be a big star one day!¨
We got a chance to meet and talk and told me he had songs on Spotify and his website, so I downloaded them and gave them a listen to.
Wow! I am more certain about Justin finding success then I was about Michael way back when. Justin has a superb voice that can travel up and down the scales with ease and power!
The thing I admire and enjoy most about him is the lyrics and music he creates for his own songs. They are catchy and very upbeat for the most part, but he can put soul and emotion through his words and voice to some of the ballads he has on his EP´s.
Follow this guy, I know I will be and cheering for his success every step along the way!

Justin Maki is a musician, artist, and creative entrepreneur out of St. Thomas, ON, Canada. He is the FCLMA’s 2021 “Pop Artist of the Year” and 2022 "Contemporary Singer-Songwriter of the Year". Japan born and Canada bred, Justin’s music carefully draws influence from R&B, Soul, Funk, and Jazz and packages it in an accessible Pop format: imagine blending Allen Stone, John Mayer, Bruno Mars, and Justin Timberlake. Justin aims to inspire joy through music performance and creation by curating a unforgettable musical experience for his fans, followers, and clients alike.
Justin has played over 2,000 gigs from Halifax to Prince George in Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands, and the US. He has shared the stage with the likes of The Sheepdogs, Measha Brueggergosman, Neon Dreams, Olivia Lunny, and Matt Rife. From bars to concert halls, backyard parties, weddings, and festivals, Justin has been entertaining 100,000s for the last 20 years. Justin’s latest releases include 3 singles off of his upcoming full length record, Technicolor Dreams (“Technicolor Dreams”, “Nine Lives”, “Old School Heart”); 2 collaborations with Ontario rappers, Big Lou and Dallas Waldo, on "Time Witchu" and "Find Your Flow", respectively; Justin's debut album, New Flame (June, 2022); and a few EP’s which he released earlier in his career.
