The music I play is timeless, varied and great fun. I play what you want to hear, and I enjoy the time I spend with an audience. I’m kind of like a kid with a new toy, and I can’t think of a better way to spend my time.
I am also a member of a trio called "Parkland". We play the same kind of music, we just offer more depth, because of the 3-part harmonies that we can offer.

I’m a skilled performer who feeds off of the the energy of my audience. I take requests and I am well prepared for every gig I play.
I love interacting with my listeners. My focus is always on those who hire me and those that listen to me, and I enjoy taking requests. I won’t know every song, but I’m well prepared to honor most requests. I love to play “Stump Jim” with my audiences.
I go by “Just Jim” and I’m a solo performer. Over the past 12 years I have focused the majority of my time performing at hospitals and senior living facilities. I’ve been averaging 80 gigs per year.
I am an acoustic guitar player and I play both 6 and 12 string guitars. I have built a very large catalog of songs and I play a variety of music, including country, folk, vintage rock, big band, holiday and patriotic music. If you let me know, in advance, that you have a specific genre or special song that you’d like to hear, I will make sure I’m prepared to play what you want to hear.
I am a high energy musician who enjoys performing and it would be an honor to play for you.
First and foremost I will want to know whether I should bring a PA system or not. On occasion, I find that a PA system is overkill based on the size of the audience and/or the size of the room.
I will want to know how large the audience is and how much space I will have to perform. I will also need to know how far I will be from accessible power.
My set list is rarely the same. It constantly changes based on the client, and I’m constantly adding songs. I will want to know what the client expects before I build my set list, and my picks will be made based on what I learn.
I grew up listening to and performing a variety of music including Rock, Country, Folk, Big Band, Patriotic, and special occasion/Holiday music. That’s my focus now.
About the only thing I will need is easy access to power, lighting and the size of the room. I should be able to bring everything else I need with me.
