The main premise and philosophy of Jumpstart is to provide the most versatile musical entertainment in the Austin and surrounding areas by covering and adapting popular dance material from all eras and genres for live performance.

Jumpstart’s mission and philosophical characteristics are achieved by maintaining a full compliment of versatile musicians consisting of

1. A solid Rhythm Section – bass guitar, drums/percussion, guitar and keys/synthesizers;
2. An all-embracing Horn Section – a full horn section: 2 saxophones, trombone and trumpet; and,
3. Dynamic Vocals – two female lead, male lead lead, and added vocal accompaniment.

The on-stage interaction of all these elements and musicians creates the Jumpstart sound. The sound and style of Jumpstart is true to the performance music; true to their many musical styles; and true delivery through high energy to their audiences.

BRIEF BIO: Since 1988 JUMPSTART has been entertaining clients at public and
private events: corporate, holiday, birthday, and fundraising events; and,
weddings of all sizes. Named by The (link hidden) as "The Best of Weddings"
Band 2011, JUMPSTART continues to specialize in musical variety and
entertainment!
With a perfect flowing mix from the 30s to yesterday, dance styles from the
Waltz to Salsa, Country to Soft Jazz, Two Step to Swinging Big Band and regular
slow to Polka to Rock-your-socks-off, JUMPSTART dedicates itself to all-agedance-
appeal. “We try to make each event perfect by customizing our set lists to
please all of our clients’ guests, including the most discriminating musical
perspective.”

BAND MEMBERS: JUMPSTART includes ten members plus two support
personnel for sound and lighting.
The band consists of the following instrumentation:

Drums/Percussion, 2 Lead Female Vocals/Percussion, Male Lead Vocal/acoustic guitar,
Bass Guitar/Upright Bass, Keys/Synths//Vocal, Lead Guitars, Trumpet, Trombone, Sax, Bari-sax
plus horn section can play flute, clarinet, percussion and back-up vocals.
