I provide entertainment by playing one of my two Stratocaster synth guitars and singing songs everyone knows. My music includes hits from the 40's through today. My passion is for motown and doowop music.

My name is John Townsend. I have been playing guitar, professionally part time for over 40 years starting at age 15 in a 12 piece motown band in the Philadelphia PA area. I co-owned an oldies band featuring doo-wop and R&B music for 10 years and was a worship leader and music director for a community church in Pennsylvania.
I recently moved to Little River from Pennsylvania in February of this year.
I have put together a variety of music designed to please audiences of all ages and will cater to specific groups as requested. I use state of the art equipment that takes up very little space. (I have been consulting to churches on sound and video systems for over 20 years)
Since this is my only job now (I retired from Verizon last year) I am available most days and evenings. My only request is that the environment I play in is smoke free. (I am a cancer survivor.)
