I am known for my glamorous presence, as well as moving a room with my stillness and seductive slow burns. Feather fan dancing is one of my specialities that can fit any theme. As an artist/archivist, I want to intentionally curate burlesque-inspired experiences that turn into enjoyable and everlasting memories. I have been performing for over 11 years. I had an idea for my bestie's surprise bachelorette party, but after an email or two and then a phone call with Joyce we had a vision of splendor, sensuality and celebration.
I not only highly recommend Joyce, I WILL absolutely hire her again and again.
We reviewed and mutually agreed upon the grandest to smallest of details from song selections and wardrobe choices to time of performance and age range of guests.
Joyce is professional and personable and even responded to my message on her birthday!
Oh, and when the bride-to-be was running a tad behind schedule, Joyce was ready with the pivot and accommodation.
Did I mention that Joyce is mesmerizing?

Joyce’s spirit, vibe and passion for the art is what turned my girls night holiday party into a night we will never forget. Joyce personally helped me craft a virtual Burlesque performance. We chatted about what I want my vision for the evening to look like, she added in her own style and when it was show time Joyce was LIVE in my living room performing and interacting with my guests. 💋Performances
I could perform a burlesque act from my repertoire (usually between 5-7 minutes); the costume pieces and choreography could be remixed with different music to fit the event theme. I also enjoy performing with a live band! After performances, I love to interact with your guests and take photos if that’s desired. If you’re interested in a longer set, I could perform twice at different times during the event, or I could book another performer for you.
I embody burlesque as a glamorous way of life. It is an enchanting vibe that I bring to ANY space I enter; stripteasing is NOT required for this experience - especially feather fan dancing!
I typically need a secure and private space to change/store my belongings. If this is not feasible, I have shown up to private events in my costume ready to perform upon arrival. I can perform on a stage or a cleared area. If I’m performing to a recorded track, we’ll need a sound system or wifi speakers. We would figure out in advance the best way for me to share the music with you. I always bring an assistant to support me during the event. My assistant would help coordinate any logistics once we arrive, pick up my garments if I do a striptease, etc.
💋Ambiance/Atmospheric Movement
If you don’t want to coordinate a specific time(s) during your event for your guests to be attentive to a performance, this option is for you! I could do 30-minutes of ambiance and/or atmospheric movement to set the tone and greet/interact with your guests. I could do this up to three times during your event with short breaks in-between. And I could move along to whatever music you are planning to play!
💋Virtual events
We can arrange to modify the above offerings into a virtual setting! For one client, we made sure she could see my video on her large TV screen. During the first part of her event, when the guests wanted to engage each other, I did 30-minutes of ambient dancing as a background vibe. They loved it! Then after a break and they were ready to sit down for a show, I came back to perform a full burlesque act. This option is really fun because so many possibilities are available. Don’t hesitate to reach out so we can come up with something together!
Joyce LeeAnn is an interdisciplinary artist, a certified archivist, and the founder of Archival Alchemy®. She has performed at the RUTAS Festival in Toronto, Jeezy's Juke Joint in Chicago; variety shows at the Bijou Theater in Bridgeport, CT and The Inn at Centre Bridge in New Hope, PA; various venues and productions within NYC, including the Laurie Beechman Theatre, House of Yes, Brooklyn Museum, The Noire Pageant, Shades of Burlesque, Coney Island USA, Underground Cabaret, as well as with Dandy Wellington and his band.
