We hired Jovens to play for my sister-in-law’s wedding. He was there to welcome guests with beautiful music & also performed for the ceremony. He made the ambiance very beautiful. He also played during the cocktail hour. His music selection had the guests singing along & dancing. It was great!.. I highly recommend Jovens for any event or occasion that you’re planning to have. About
Born and raised in Naples, FL, Jovens Sax is a Haitian-American saxophonist whose love for music began at just 11 years old. Although he picked up the saxophone at a young age, it wasn’t until high school that he began to take it seriously, developing a deep passion for the instrument and the joy it brought to others.
Over time, he found himself performing in a variety of settings from jazz band and marching bands to orchestras and ensembles. His experiences gave him the confidence and skills to connect with audiences of all kinds. After college, Jovens began traveling throughout Florida, sharing his music at weddings, private events, church services, brunches, and more.
Today, he specializes in jazz, R&B, classical, and Haitian Kompa, bringing a unique blend of styles to every performance. For Jovens, music is more than entertainment, it’s a way to bring people together, celebrate life’s most meaningful moments, and honor the community and culture that shaped him.
Additional booking notes
I bring all essential sound equipment, including a professional PA system and wireless microphone. I’ll need access to one standard electrical outlet within 20 feet of the performance area. Adequate lighting for evening events is appreciated to ensure visibility and ambiance.

Influences and inspiration
My biggest influences are Kenny G, Boney James, and Gerald Albright — artists who bring emotion, precision, and soul through their music. I also take inspiration from R&B and Kompa sounds that reflect my personal background and style.
Setup requirements
I only need a small, flat area to perform (about 6x6 feet) and access to one outlet for my sound equipment. Setup and sound check usually take about 20-40 minutes.
