1. Opera singers don’t need passwords.
I need:
no login, no “prove you’re human,” no Microsoft or Google ID can substitute for the physical act of producing sound through breath, resonance, technique, and decades of training. A computer system can force a CAPTCHA — but nobody can force an aria.
2. Singing is inherently human and cannot be automated in the real world.
AI can’t stand up and sing.
AI can generate audio, but: It does not breathe. It does not resonate air through a human chest cavity.
It does not shape vowels with a tongue and soft palate. It does not project over a 60-piece orchestra without amplification.

April 20, 2019My first time booking with GigSalad and choosing Joseph Donnantuoni was incredible! Joseph was so personable and his voice goes beyond reason. He sang three songs to my brother celebrating his 81st birthday and an audience of thirty well wishers. Needless to say, we were all moved and enthralled at the excellence of his voice and talent. Thanks for such a nice "review" as they call it. As soon as I find a place to vocalize more I look forward to performing a recital of art songs and that more fitting for our Calif wines and such a great group. It was nice to come to the birthday party and have such delicious food while seeing so many content people with dear Sandee. I'm the lucky one !

December 16, 2018Joseph Donnantuoni was great and kept the noisy Christmas Party under wraps with "Silencio" (silent in Italian) so he could sing. My only comment was that he wore a Hawaiian shirt and this was a formal event; I wish he would have dressed up.

Well I never had a bad review before. But then again many guests asked me where do I sing. I wish I knew it was a formal event. All Alexandra told me was it's a small apartment and she was on a "budget."

My favorite part was meeting such nice members joining and the eggplant Parmesan and the veggie lasagna Gourmet cooked by Judy Stern along with her green and caprese salads were so good my wife and I wanted to cry. But we kissed instead. :)

Joseph will show up on time. He tries to find out what kind of room or place is being set up for him to perform and if he has time he may come to see it first to prepare. Joseph can sing up to 5 songs/arias and his duration of time is listed on this site to be up to 180 minutes because he can wait around for his time to sing.
Joseph learned voice from his parents initially. They were both opera singers in New York though Giovanni Martinelli who taught Joseph's mother at one point told Joseph's Dad to stay home and take care of the kids. He studied music with private teachers and at age 29, he was hired to sing in the role of Nanki-Poo in the Mikado with the Richmond Theatre collection on Staten Island. Though he graduated at Stony Brook University in Economics, and that school had a music dept, Joseph was chosen to sing for the Awards night for the Language departments. While working at EF Hutton in New York city co-workers would often hire Joseph to bring a card and a short song to young woman with whom dates were sought in return for his lunch being paid for. Joseph while working for NASD (now FINRA) as an examiner of broker dealers was chosen by the District Director in NYC to sing at the Tanga room at the Fairmont Hotel for the Christmas party. Through the years Joseph has performed at City Hall, fundraisers, and private events including corporate conventions.
Prefer Monitor and live mic, however if accoustics are stereo (rectangular room, not low or drop ceilings, and live walls with carpet) none may be needed. Needs outlets for equipment if used/ we bring.

I am influenced mainly by my Mom. She won the American Opera auditions in 1957 and was then trained by Giovanni Martinelli. I also can hear what these singers do inside their voices: Enrico Caruso, Fritz Wunderlich, Giovanni Martinelli and yes Andrea Bocelli. When she was 78 yrs old I took her to Capitol Records in LA and she made a recording. It can be found on youtube; her name is Jean.
