Meet Your Jones and Co Events Entertainment Partners

Jones & Co. Events is led by myself Jelani Jones, a Morehouse College graduate and Georgia Institute of Technology graduate whose passion for music, technology, and creating unforgettable experiences led me into the world of professional entertainment.

With numerous years of experience providing entertainment for weddings, proms, homecomings, corporate events, private celebrations, and karaoke experiences, I bring the ability to read a crowd, adapt to the energy in the room, and create the perfect soundtrack for every moment.

Alongside me is my wife and partner, MC Nita. Shenethia Jones, a University of Texas graduate with a passion for dance, celebration, and honoring the beauty of love and lasting relationships. Her warmth, grace, and engaging presence help create meaningful connections with couples and their guests throughout the celebration.

As a couple married for 25 plus years and proud parents of three, we bring a unique perspective to weddings. We understand the importance of family, the significance of every special moment, and the desire to create a celebration that reflects each couple’s unique love story.

Together, we combine professional excellence, elegant MC hosting, personalized music planning, premium sound, and a high-energy dance floor experience to deliver a polished, stress-free, and unforgettable wedding celebration.

Technical Requirements

Performance Space
A minimum 8' x 8' level area for DJ equipment (larger preferred for enhanced lighting and production setups)
A covered, weather-protected area for all outdoor events
A stable surface away from excessive heat, moisture, rain, or direct exposure to the elements

Electrical Power
Two dedicated 15-amp or 20-amp grounded electrical outlets within 25 feet of the DJ setup
Electrical power that is reliable and not shared with high-draw equipment such as catering appliances or portable heaters

Setup & Breakdown
Access to the venue at least 90–120 minutes prior to guest arrival (additional time may be required for larger lighting installations)
Access to loading areas, elevators, or ramps when applicable
A clear pathway for moving equipment to and from the performance area

Audio Requirements
A designated location that allows proper sound coverage for guests
Advance notice for multiple rooms, outdoor spaces, ceremonies in separate locations, live musicians connecting to our sound system, or guest performers requiring microphones

Lighting Requirements
Access to appropriate placement areas for uplighting, dance floor lighting, and specialty effects
The ability to dim venue lighting when a dance floor lighting experience is desired

Safety & Environment
A secure area where guests will not interfere with professional equipment, speakers, lighting stands, or cables
The client or venue is responsible for any required permits, venue approvals, or power accommodations
