If you are looking for a professional, experienced pianist and singer for your wedding, reception or party, look no further! I enjoy making relaxing, mellow music, but can also turn up the energy in an instant and make toes start tapping. If there is no instrument available for use at your chosen venue, I can provide a good digital piano or arrange for a grand piano to be delivered for your event. These options are available in both indoor and outdoor settings.

Jonathan played live music for my wedding. He was very easy to work with, he met with us before hand and we spoke general music we both loved and wanted in the ceremony. You can immediately see his talent with his craft. He was able to seamlessly transition between songs for important moments, such as giving a cue to come down the aisle. He also gracefully played softer or louder depending on the context of the situation. His rendition of Scarborough Fair with Canon in D was incredible. Very happy we chose to go with Jonathan. We received many compliments on his playing. Would wholeheartedly recommend his services to any music lover.

Jon played for our mother's 83rd birthday dinner at the Royal Hawaiian Club in beautiful Maunawili valley. His selection and stylings that included singing a few tunes was superb, and was enjoyed by all. Jon's variety of songs is impressive and covered a wide variety of artists and classics. His willingness and ability to play along with some of the selected Sound of Music tunes which were part of the program was easy and smooth. I can definitely recommend Jon for your event.

Hi!
I have been playing the piano and singing since I was three years old. Music has always been something I loved very much, so I began studying formally at a fairly young age. Opportunities began presenting themselves for me to begin publicly performing at fifteen years of age, and fell in love with the chance to help people have a great time. The next natural step was to begin pursuing a college degree in the field of music so I started attending the University of Michigan School of Music. I enjoyed performing in the jazz band during my time there, and also honed my technical skills through rigorous classical training. Upon completing my time at U of M, I happily emerged with a music education degree bearing an emphasis in piano performance.
Many varieties of music have influenced me, as I love everything from Bach to rock and everything in-between. There are a few niches that I would say that I have gravitated towards… mostly influenced by the music that I was constantly being asked to play. I found myself enjoying timeless standards with favorites like Louis Armstrong, George Gershwin, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, but yet I also loved the sounds of modern songs by Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Adele, Christina Perri and other leading artists. Songs from Phantom Of The Opera, Les Miserables, Westside Story, Cats are always flowing, as they seem to be favorites among wedding guests and party goers alike. I have also studied Jazz and Blues piano formally and informally for some time, as the energy and style is contagiously fun and compelling.
In summary, you can expect something for everyone when contracting me for musical services. The Eagles, the Beatles, Rachmaninov, your favorite Hawaiian songs, movie themes and an occasional 1930's flashback all await your ears, all presented in musically advanced, pleasing artistry. Of course, I will tailor my song list to fit exactly the audience and amount of energy you request. Most people wind up requesting a mixture so that there will be something for everyone on your guest list.
Having worked with a long list of clients in the last 14 years, I have discovered that people love to have good music at their event, but that they also want to have a good experience with the booking, the payment, the dependability, and appearance of their hired entertainer. There is nothing worse than having your musician arrive late, wearing a crumpled shirt and sputtering apologies about their aunt not picking them up in time. You want someone you can count on.
It is my mission to be as reliable and client-oriented as I am musical and artistic. Thankfully, the result of having performed several hundred gigs across the midwest and now Hawaii is that surprises are more rare. I know what is needed to make things to go smoothly, and I will apply myself diligently to making that happen.
Except for unusual circumstances, (such as traveling in places with poor or nonexistent internet/cellular connectivity,) I respond within 24 hours or less to all inquiries. You can expect to hear back from me promptly with price quotes, explanations of details, and booking instructions.
