John was amazing! We had a dinner at our home that John was an important part of making it the success it was. John knew that there were times that we needed for him to be the entertainment and other times that we needed him to be ambiance blend into the background. John communicated in advance of our event so he understood our music needs, our audio needs for our event as well as his music and he was there early to ensure he was set up and we were ready to go for our evening.

What a great group of people! Passionate about their organization, and passionate about celebrating each other's accomplishments. Thanks for having me in your home and having that beautiful baby grand for me to play. --- I hope you'll call me again in the future!

John is a very talented musician, and his music was the highlight of our party. John was a pleasure to work with. He was responsive to our requests, both ahead of time and on the day of the event. We would highly recommend him to others.

Thank you so much! I love a party where I have fun, too. And I love requests that take me out of my comfort zone -- Lady GaGa, Justin Timberlake and... Downton Abbey? Thanks for the feedback and a wonderful time!

About
I came to Chicago from Connecticut in 1984 to attend Northwestern University and earned a degree in Communications. After 3 years working in public relations for companies like Leo Burnett Co., I opted out of PR to pursue my real passion—music. Now I am making my home near Miami, where I'm performing at several restaurants and hotels after a 2-month working vacation playing my way through Spain and the Canary Islands. I made my mark in Chicago (hence, my “Chicago Piano Man” nickname) — before heading south to the Miami area, I had the pleasure of singing and performing at Chicago’s hottest spot for live music, The Redhead Piano Bar, for more than 20 years… nowhere else in Chicago did I get to connect on such an intimate level with the crowd, and perform as great a variety of music styles and artists (they make a great martini too!). I also spent years playing at several of Chicago’s greatest steakhouses — Mastro’s, Chicago Chop House and Magnum’s to name a few. Other nightclubs and restaurants I’ve been featured at include Seasons 52 in Oakbrook, Chicago and Schaumburg; Evanston’s Rhythm Room, and Rush Street’s Hugos’s Frog Bar, where the atmosphere made any after-dinner meet-up a memorable one.
In addition to playing the usual piano-bar fodder (“Piano Man”, “Brown-Eyed Girl”, “Tiny Dancer”, “Sweet Caroline”, Sinatra…) I love to go off the grid and play deep-track classic rock covers, dabble in country, Broadway, jazz and, especially, feature the newest in contemporary or alternative like Dave Matthews, Train, Jason Mraz, and more. Of course, I love to be challenged by a request for an old Nat King Cole swing song, or a vintage I-bet-you-don’t-know-this-one by Billy or Elton.
