John Tucker and David Gerkin

With John Tucker and David Gerkin, you can expect to hear easy listening, acoustic, and light electric performances of original songs and cover songs from the 60's and 70's. They put their own unique spin on each song, so you'll recognize each cover song, but you'll also notice the duo's own expressive touch.

The band can play soft enough to provide background music or loud enough to give a dynamic performance depending on the needs of the venue or event.

John Tucker and David Gerkin have been playing gigs together and with other groups in the greater Phoenix metro area for the past 30 years. Their music spans so many genres and eras that it's hard to place it in one or two categories.
John Tucker: Classical acoustic guitar, bass, lead and background vocals. From the Beatles to the Temptations to James Taylor, John’s varied musical interests contribute much to the musical texture of the duo as do his original compositions.
David Gerkin: Electric and acoustic guitar, bass, lead and background vocals. David cites the Beatles, Beach Boys, and Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young as influences. David is a songwriter, and the duo performs many of his compositions.

No special technical requirements. John and David provide all equipment needed.
