Crowd Pleaser!

John did an amazing job of entertaining at our Valentine's party. It was a difficult setting, but he made it work. He played a variety of genres and everybody enjoyed themselves. He even had guests dancing, even though it wasn't that kind of event. I would definitely bring him back!!

About

John Massey, a renowned singing pianist from Southern California, started his musical adventure when he was just eight years old. For over four decades, Massey has poured his heart into all the exciting parts of performing arts.

As a well-known name in piano bars, Massey has thrilled audiences across North America with his amazing performances. He’s played dueling piano acts and captivated crowds at famous spots like Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Margaritaville At Sea, Kalahari Resorts all over the country, and many other great places.

Right now, you can often find Massey entertaining people at Shamrock Irish Pub in Murrieta, MooFish Café in Ventura, and Harrah’s Laughlin Beach Resort in Laughlin, Nevada.

Additional booking notes

I’m aiming to make the production process as smooth and stress-free as possible for you.

The performance is all set up on my end. I’ll bring my own keyboard(s), shell(s), sound system, and lighting equipment.

The only thing I need is power. The performance space needs to be close enough to an electrical outlet, about 15 feet away.

Once you decide to work with me, I’ll take care of all the other details, like specific requirements and logistics.

Thanks for thinking about me! I’m really looking forward to hearing back from you.

Set list

My piano bar (and dueling pianos) shows are usually all about you—a sing-along party where you can request your favorite songs!
But, I’m also happy to create a set list that suits your tastes, as the producer or customer. In a typical performance, you’ll probably hear:
Africa, American Pie, Baby One More Time, Bad Romance, Bennie And The Jets, Billie Jean, Bohemian Rhapsody, Brown Eyed Girl, Dancing Queen, Don’t Stop Believin’, Free Fallin’, Friends In Low Places, Great Balls Of Fire, Hey Jude, Hotel California, Livin’ On A Prayer, Mr. Brightside, My Girl, Old Time Rock And Roll…

…and that’s just a taste of what you might hear!

Influences and inspiration

When I was learning to play the piano as a kid, I was really inspired by: The Beatles, Barry Manilow, Elton John, Jimmy Buffett, and Billy Joel.
As I got more into the theatre, I started to be influenced by Frank Loesser, Cole Porter, The Gershwins, Rodgers & Hart, Harold Arlen, and lots of the songwriters who make up The Great American Songbook.

My show has a bit of everything!
