John Bierens - Highland Bagpiper for All Occasions
Overview
My name is John M. Bierens, a retired aircraft mechanic from Wichita, Kansas that plays the Scottish Highland bagpipes. I have played both the Scottish Great Highland bagpipes and the Small Scottish bagpipes for over 30 years in grade 4 and grade 5 pipes bands. The small Scottish bagpipes that I play, are more suitable to be played indoors in small rooms and Chapels, where the larger great Highland bagpipes are more suited for performing in large churches, cathedrals, or outside like at grave sites. I can adjust both my music and clothing to fit many occasions Weddings, Funerals, Church services, Processions, and Military Ceremonies.

John performed beautifully at our wedding, he played all of our guests into the venue and for our procession in and out of the ceremony. He met with us a few times before the wedding to play for us and help us pick our songs and also came to the rehearsal dinner and practiced the ceremony. He was very professional, attentive, punctual, informative, and had many different options for us to chose from with outfits and type of bagpipes. Thank you for all your hard work John it was awesome!
