Overview
A cheerful, energetic mood is the most important part of balloon twisting. Fortunately, it's easy to be cheerful when you watch kids smile as a career. It starts with fun chat, but not school chat (grown-ups ALWAYS ask about school). When they ask for a pink bunny, I compliment them on color choice and ask if maybe it became pink from eating strawberries. I may do some play by play: "Now let’s make those big bunny ears, do you like big bunny ears, or do you like little bunny ears?" When creating a sword, I might aske them to promise not to become a super villain, etc. Often I sneak in a balloon magic trick or two.
For big events, I can bring my teenage kids to help twist for an extra fee.

Joe was an excellent addition to the Married Couples Prom at our church. He didn’t need any direction and was timely and personable with the couples. The creations themselves were lovely and fun and some had really cool LED elements. I don’t think we knew what to expect when trying to get a balloon twister for an event with adults, but it was a huge hit and we had many asking for his contact or asking if he could be hired for our future events. He also stayed to finish serving everyone who wanted a balloon creation. I definitely would recommend Joe for your event!

What to expect
Expect lots of balloons and lots of fun!
I love engaging the kids and complementing them on their excellent choices of balloon colors. I appear to be having fun too, because I am!
Check out the new chrome balloons (see photo). These beautiful balloons were released in Jan 2018, they are perfect if you like shiny things!
About
I am a father of 5 who began balloon twisting around 2004 to make fun things for my son (you can see my kids modeling in my balloon photos). I started doing occasional events for family and my church, mostly dabbling a little here and a little there. In the last few years, I have jumped in with both feet. I now enjoy doing birthday parties, picnics, fundraisers and more when the opportunity arises.
Additional booking notes
For a typical event, I generally make creations using 1-3 balloons. This generally amounts to 100 creations in 2 hours. To avoid lines that might emerge at big events, I coax kids to smaller 1-2 balloon creations which can increase productivity to about 125 creations in 2 hours.
