Joe Martin… is a 30 year Disc Jockey Veteran in live performances, public speaking and On-Air radio station experience. Joe originated his music profession in southwestern Michigan, performing in front of audiences at a young age of 7 years old. His musical teacher was an original member of the House of David Orchestra, playing with many of the great Big Bands of her era. Joe experienced many performances on the H of D outdoor garden stage during his youth. Growing up in a rural area made listening to the radio his “eyes & ears” to the outside world. Chicago DJ’s graced the nighttime airwaves with their individual personality and style. His love for music led him to create his own Disc Jockey business “Sunset Coast Mobile Sound & Light” out of high school, in the southwestern beach front of Lake Michigan. Joe has performed in the “twin cities” area of Southwestern Michigan at the Mendel Center, the Shadowland Ballroom & Pavilion, The Verandas of Whitcomb Tower, to local locations as the Blue Dress Barn, Mill Creek Barn, Fort Miami Heritage Center, Point of Woods Country Club, Berrien Hills Country Club, Mansion Grille, Pebblewood Country Club, as well as at the Amway Grand Hotel, Kellogg’s Cereal Reception home of Gull Lake, Fountains Banquet Center, Harbor Lights, Heritage Glenn Golf Club, Heritage Hall, Lake Michigan Hills Golf Club, Lawton Community Center, St. Joe Kickers Sport Club, and Villa Santaniello’s, Lansing, Kalamazoo, South Haven, South Bend, the Chicago Lake Front, etc. He has traveled and performed throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, (Michigan), New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, California, Texas, and south of the border in Mexico.
• Joe has also graced the airwaves of Southwestern Michigan & northern Indiana of local stations such as WHFB B-99, 94.9 The Coast, 97.5 WYTZ Country and WIRX Rock 107. His love for teaching and coaching though carried him across country to the Southwestern deserts of Arizona.
• A veteran schoolteacher, Joe now resides in North Peoria, Arizona, near Lake Pleasant, with his family. Joe has many years of experience working with young people, parents, and coaching winning athletes - which means successful School Dances and Proms, church Youth Rallies, organized and controlled events, massive musical knowledge and public relations skills.
• Joe was the only, original, American Disc Jockey Association (ADJA) national member in the state of Arizona for years, and was instrumental in helping to form the Arizona Chapter of the A.D.J.A. in Glendale, AZ as a charter founding member along with a few fellow disc jockey comrades, the goal to create “a TRUE Professionalism” among DJ’s within the music industry.
• Joe has worked for Walt Disney Productions, M-TV, opened for DJ Skribble of MTV fame, worked with the Promo Team of Sketchers Shoes with Brittany Spears, he has performed with The Phoenix Suns Dance Team, and the Gorilla & the basketball team), Baxter the Bobcat & the AZ Diamondbacks Baseball, The Howler & the Phoenix Coyotes Hockey, Sparky the ASU Sun Devil, Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, all of the premier hotels and country clubs in the Phoenix metro area, Sedona, Flagstaff, Tucson, the Grand Canyon, and in Southwestern Michigan.
• Joe attends monthly training and annual teaching seminars around the country to further his profession and the success of his events.
• Joe is also a board member to the Cross Mix International Association of Christian disc jockeys. Joe is a Hall of Fame Christian DJ. I strive for integrity and respect within the disc jockey and music industry - playing not just Christian, but, "appropriate" music & lyrics to complement your wedding, event, or School Dance.
