Joe Majerus
Overview
After playing fiddle for 15 years, I acquired a looping pedal and it completely changed my whole approach. That was 5 years ago, and now I loop violin, playing improvised solos over rhythm sections that I write and record in the moment. It's extremely engaging for musicians to watch, and nice background talking music for all people and any event!
The format is the same with my trio, The Wild Bills. We improvise every show as a trio, scoring each of your moments as we feel out the room and play the music that feels appropriate for the occasion.

October 9, 2023A Must Have For Your Event
If you are looking for something unique and that will make your wedding stand out, Joe is your guy. He was so tailoring to all the changes made throughout the wedding process and made sure everything went as smoothly as possible. Joe kept this bride up to date and sent multiple videos of songs when we were trying to figure out which ones to play for the big day. He played during our ceremony and cocktail hour and impressed everyone there including me. The talent and professionalism was all there and worth every penny spent. It was elegant, but country and rustic at the same time which matched our vibes perfectly. Could not have asked for a better experience or a better day with Joe Majerus. If you choose Joe for any of your events you will not be disappointed!

Thank you for such a wonderful review, Megan! Love how you described my work. I definitely got the feeling that a country vibe would be appreciated and so I leaned into my roots for your wedding, and that was super fun to do! Thank you for having me!

February 17, 2021🎉 Encore! Encore! 🥳
Joe was simply an amazing pleasure to have at my family‘s private event. Despite having a busy personal and professional schedule, Joe was active and clear in his communication with me when I requested a booking with him, and he let me know all of his expectations on his end as a performer. Despite the chance for inclement weather, he stayed in contact with me regarding any updates to the event, space, and commute all the way down to Branson. Joe specializes in improvisation, and he will add a wonderful color of ambience to any event that you have to plan. This was my first time using GigSalad, and I will definitely be using this platform again for future musicians I will need. I will definitely have Joe for my future events in the Ozarks area. Joe was also wonderfully accommodating in some special requests that I had for my family. Originally, I didn’t plan to come to this family event, and he purchased several single roses for all the ladies at my party. Thank you, Joe, for the wonderful energy, great performance, excellent communication, and overall friendliness that you shared with me in planning and playing for the event!

Thank you, Thomas, for the wonderful review. Thank you also for making sure I got fed! The food was excellent.
The roses were such a nice touch, too. I was absolutely thrilled to get on board with that! I look forward to the next time I get to entertain at one of your events!

July 6, 2020The consummate pro, and so insanely talented!!!
I am country music artist, and I have had the pleasure of working with Joe Majerus for a few years now on numerous concerts, and I have been consistently blown away by his ability on the fiddle. He can play almost anything, and his musical instincts are uncanny. For showmanship, tone, creativity and raw talent, you’d be hard pressed to find a better musician. His looping, his writing ability and spontaneity on stage are an instant asset for any artist or event planner. To top it all off, Joe is a thoroughly decent and professional guy, who pursues his craft with a love for people as much a love for music.
Do yourself a favor and hire Joe Majerus! This man is going places!

June 2, 2025What A Spectacular Human!
Joe was amazing! Unfortunately, as the bride I was not able to listen to the violin as much as everyone else, but the small part I did get to hear was beautiful. We eloped from Iowa, and found Joe and thought he was absolutely talented and booked him without a question. He communicated before the wedding to ensure our ceremony would go perfectly according to our wishes. He arrived promptly and expressed how humble and appreciative he was to be apart of our big day. We absolutely would recommend him again and again! Thank you, Joe!

What to expect
I provide nice background music for events of all types. When I'm not playing weddings, you can often find me crafting a juicy fiddle loop in the corner of a restaurant, a coffee shop, or a farmer's market.
I always try to arrive at least an hour early, giving myself a nice buffer to get all set up. I bring my own rig, which usually consists of a 12" speaker, a bass amp, and my pedal board. My PA system pushes more than enough air to fill a medium/large space.
Most of the music I play is instrumental, but occasionally I'll ad-lib some vocals if I'm really feeling it. At this point, I do not do covers. All of the music I play is original, and the large majority of it is made up on the spot. My goal is to provide musically inspired moments rather than canned, planned out tunes. Sometimes you just can't get that inspired playing unless it's the first time you've ever played the tune.
I have had many people tell me that the music I make has a joyful sound to it. It's hard not to play happy, lively, joyful sounding music on the fiddle!
About
I got my start at age 9 learning to play contest fiddle tunes. My siblings also picked up instruments and we began playing bluegrass music together. After high school, I moved to Milwaukee, WI, where I became active in the worship music scene. This helped to expand my idea of what was possible on the strings. After moving back to Missouri, I began gigging around with bands, and in May of 2019 I got my first looping pedal. Since then I've been cultivating a looping process that is now ready to be shared. I would love for music to become my main source of income.
Additional booking notes
I bring all the necessary elements. All I need is a space to set up and a power source within 200ft for my equipment.
Set list
Approaching each show with a desire to create something new, I never make up a set list. I don't know what I'm going to play until I sit down and start playing. It always works out, and the music is more inspired for it.
