Joanna Lauer, Harpist

Because each person is unique and has different tastes, my job is to provide each of my clients with their own taste in music. I've worked on many different genres, continually expanding my repertoire and skills in each of them so that when you want jazz, or classical, or Celtic, or pop, or something I haven't heard of yet, I work to give you excellent examples of each.

For years I wanted to play the harp, and, unlike many little girls with a similar dream, mine came true! From my first rental harp to my very own pedal harp, I've loved the challenge of mastering technique, difficult music, and stepping out the box. Some days are harder and progress seems slower than ever, but only one foot can follow the other at a time.

My path has brought me to study music performance at Cedarville University. With my own YouTube channel and love of creating unique arrangements for the harp, I look forward to my future work. It's tedious sometimes, challenging, but worth every second, for the end reward is great. My dream is to create harp music never created before that will fill needs and fill the world with a little more beauty.

Between these dates I am studying at school in southern OH, making the cost of travel a bit higher. But I am willing to travel, and you can always ask me for a quote! Plus, your event might land on one of my breaks :)

If I'm playing in a big open space for a large audience, a mic & speaker system is great.
If I'm playing outside on the grass somewhere, a 5x5' board is great for me to set up on.
If your event is more than 20 miles away from me, I charge 50 cents/mile from my starting point to your venue.
