JMS Imagery

Ty from JMS Imagery is such a wonderful find! We were having a birthday celebration for my special needs 18-year-old son, and there was no way I was going to leave pictures of this once in a lifetime event up to chance. We worked with Ty previously (before the pandemic) and where lucky enough that he had an opening on our party date. He did just as I asked...to capture everyone as they chatted and interacted...these were all special "friends" of my son who he has known and loved throughout the years, I wanted a NOT POSED, but "in the moment" feel...to preservethe joy of this event so my son coukd revisit it whenever he looked at the pictures. And Ty did EXACTLY as I asked...even people who were not able to make were able to "feel" the great social atmosphere and enthusiasm we all enjoyed..Best pics ever AGAIN. Did I mention that Ty took the best picture EVER of my husband and myself back in 2019. 😄

Ty did not honor the contract in several instances, but the one the bothers me the most is the video. I paid hundreds of dollars extra so I could get unedited footage of 3 things: wedding ceremony, speeches, and dances. What was on the contract was a 40 minute edited video and all unedited footage. Not only was there no 40 minute edited video (it was 5 minutes), Ty never gave me any unedited footage. He repeatedly said he would, but he never did. His excuses changed over time until he ghosted me.

In terms of photography, Ty advertised that he was an assertive photographer who will make sure people are smiling and posing properly for the photo. He assured me I would get my family photo where we were all squished together and looking good. Unfortunately, the shot he got, the fam was spread out and he didn't instruct people to take off their sunglasses for the shot. Since it's the only pic I got with my family, it's the one framed in all of our houses and I just wish the image was closer with us together and you could see everyone's eyes. There's also a couple images I wish he had someone fan out my wedding dress.

TLDR: Working with this man was very disheartening. He was repeatedly dishonest. It's been almost 2 years and I don't think I will ever get to watch those important moments of my wedding day. He doesn't care to make it right. I was also disappointed in some pictures. Overall bad taste in my mouth.

Perfection. I could not be happier with my decision to hire Ty. He was very affordable, responded within minutes, and perfectly professional. The entire evening was photographed exactly as I wanted it, and he was sure not to leave anything out. He showed up to the venue, let me know that he had arrived, and then got to work. Not only were his pictures beautiful, but he sent me an online link to the entire album that I could send to friends and family the very next day. I highly recommend Ty if you want a low-stress evening.
