Jimpossible Card Magic
Overview
I perform sleight-of-hand, close-up card magic right at your table, perfect for birthday parties, family events, holidays, dinner parties, or a casual night in with friends. My 60-minute show is laughs and storytelling, with up to 12 guests max (ages 17+) gathered around. I arrive with a deck of cards and a close-up mat, using no props or gaffed cards and need no time to set up, so we can dive straight into the fun. I arrive in casual attire since I don't need a fancy coat or jacket to hide things in pockets or up sleeves. This is a unique, relaxed, and enjoyable event and one they'll remember and talk about for a long time. I'm also available for strolling magic. This is a winner for you!

We had a larger group than what Jim usually performs for, however he kept everyone engaged and did amazing tricks! There were a few tricks that everyone kept talking about after he left that no one could figure out. We truly enjoyed his show and what a great personality he brought to our get together! Jim’s show is perfect for adults and older teens. Would recommend him to anyone looking for some great card tricks at their next event!

This party was a lot of fun for everyone. Jim came and immediately had everyone feeling comfortable and enjoying themselves. He engaged each of us into his routine and had us all feeling like we were part of the show. Jim has a wonderful personality and was very friendly, courteous and respectful while while doing tricks we were all amazed at. We were very happy to have had Jim in our home and welcome him back anytime. Great show, wonderful time, and we were all smiling throughout the evening. Highly recommend Jimpossible card magic!

About
I've loved card magic since I was a teenager. I've seen lots of shows where props are used and all kinds of things that are truly impossible to do, like making a car or house disappear. I gravitated to just card magic where someone could hand you a deck of cards from around their home and do sleight of hand.
I have a full time professional job that keeps me very busy. I came to Utah on a scholarship to play football years ago. After graduating from the U, I played professional baseball for 3 years until a career ending injury/surgery halted my childhood dreams. I eventually found my profession in the healthcare industry where I remain today.
When I did my first torn and restored business card trick for a physician, he asked me to do it again. Of course I said no. He then told me that he wouldn't be prescribing my drug unless I did. I caved :-) He still never used my drug but he treated me much better after that. Since then I've been performing card magic at small, private parties, dinner parties, family holiday parties, small gatherings and lately for a few travelers visiting the resorts while staying at an AirBnB during ski season.
My life is busy. Outside of my professional job, I play in a popular acoustic rock 'n' roll cover band, ride a mountain bike, martial arts, cook, I have a 4 season garden, and teach 10 different gardening classes at various venues during the year. My passion is growning tasty food for healthy living and showing others how to do it.
I've been married for 42 years with 3 great kids and 5 grandkids. I look forward to cooking for the entire family every weekend when they show up at our home. I'm an empty nester now, but wasn't a few years back when I coached little league football and baseball for 17 years. I had little time for an actual vacation and I wouldn't change one thing about that.
Additional booking notes
The only items needed is a table and chairs for all to participate. If there are those who don't sit at the table they should be close enough to easily see the close up mat. My routine is very simple: I arrive with a few decks of cards, a close up mat, and maybe a few coins depending on the magic selection for the night. No special lighting, stage, or sound is needed.
For walk around/strolling jobs I dress more formally in a sports coat.
