What to Expect
Playfulness, Originality Professionalism. The primary focus and unification of my many years of training in acting, clown, buffoon, mime, topeng, butoh, yoga, paratheater and dance has been physical theater and physical comedy. So, apart from whatever fanciful, kooky or specified character-costuming I'll be wearing, you will see exaggerated, focused and stylized vocalization and movement expressed toward bringing that character to larger-than-life animation. As an interpretational performer I take being a rock, a flower, an animal or a historic person/fictional character very seriously. So if I'm meant to be playing Sherlock Holmes, you will see an equal attention to detail of his mannerism, walk, accent, poise, attitude and intentions. "A thing is a thing, not what is said about that thing." So, to be a flower, do only as the flower would do. Moment by moment, the simplicity of blowing lightly in the wind accounts for the flower's substance, indeed, it's very meaning. Sherlock Holmes gets done thoroughly and convincingly.
