I have 30 years of experience as a professional pianist and an extensive repertoire of classical, jazz, standards, musicals, rock & pop. As a full-time musician working in LA since 2001, I have maintained long term residencies at high end hotels, restaurants and shopping malls. Currently, I am a resident pianist at Hotel Bel-Air. Fall is my busiest season as I'm booked nearly every day playing piano for all kinds of events including charity galas, corporate events, weddings & holiday parties. My wife and business partner, Kim, is instrumental in managing it all and we enjoy the variety of clients we work with. Request a quote and you'll find we are prompt, professional and easy to work with.
I threw an intimate 80th birthday party for my mother-in-law held in a private room in a restaurant and hired Jeremy to 1) accompany my nephew and friend perform a mini-set of songs, 2) play ambiance as guests arrived and mingled, 3) play songs/show tunes from his impressive repertoire for guests to sing along with at the end of the evening. Jeremy was the perfect hire. Communicating with his wife, Kim, who was always available with information and could hammer out all the details with me in advance, from first email I felt confident that what I needed for the night was going to happen (which is a big deal to me when I'm planning an event with many other things to handle). Jeremy showed up early as requested to rehearse with the singers, he played just beautifully as guests arrived (the theatre pros in the room commented on his skills), he was extraordinary as backup to my nephew and friend, they were very comfortable on stage with him, and was the perfect accompanist to the lively group at the end of the evening who wanted to sing around the piano. Kim, who I invited to the event, also came up with the idea to upload the lyrics of the songs to a flat screen in the room for the singing crowd to follow, which she did, and they followed and it was a lot of fun (like crowd karaoke). I will absolutely hire Jeremy (and Kim) for all of my future piano playing gigs.
Jeremy Weinglass is the best pianist we have had in 30’years of entertaining. He is an extremely talented pianist with a cheerful attitude that called guests to his performance. He was greatly adored by our sixty listeners. His range of music is SUPERB from
Classic Christmas music to Lizt and Chopin. He Truly lighted our gathering.
Jeremy is a phenomenal piano player. He played piano during cocktail hours for my 50th birthday party. Jeremy and his wife Kim were pleasure to work with. We received so many compliments from our friends and families on his performance. I highly recommend him if you need a pianist on your event.
Great communication with Jeremy and his team before the event. Jeremy played beautifully and was on time and professional throughout the evening.
Highest possible recommendation for Jeremy Weinglass as a keynote and motivational speaker for your next event! His combination of motivational speaking mixed with music makes him a popular favorite of audiences of all kinds. Want a successful event? Jeremy will help you bring it on home!
Jeremy played at our company Christmas party and we had an absolute blast. He had Christmas music greeting us when we walked in and then offered a set list of songs he could play and we could sing along to. We kicked it off with Bohemian Rhapsody and had a ton of fun from there. Jeremy was very accommodating and a wonderful pianist. We would hire him again in a heartbeat!
We hired Jeremy to play my grandmother’s Bechstien baby grand piano for my parents’ golden anniversary. He lent a magical ambiance to the evening, and brought family members to tears with a piece by Beethoven, a personal favorite of our late uncle. Our guests were commenting throughout the evening about how much they we’re enjoying the music, and my father, an astute lover of music, remarked to me the next day how fantastically Jeremy played. Jeremy is a gifted musician, and I suggest hiring him to play for you soon before he simply becomes unavailable due to competing bookings or his next big break!
We hired Jeremy for both our wedding ceremony and reception. For the ceremony, it was a Catholic wedding ceremony with traditional hymns and psalm. He worked well with my brother (who was the cantor for our ceremony). My brother was coming from out of town the day before, so he and Jeremy had a Skype meeting/rehearsal to prepare ahead of time. They did a great job together.
For the reception (which was a small brunch reception of 40 people), Jeremy played around 3 hours of love songs, standards and classical music as per our request. He only took a short break for a meal, then kept on playing. He added great atmosphere to the reception and people enjoyed the music.
All our specific music requests he prepared expertly for both the ceremony and reception. He's a fine musician, a pleasure to listen to.
Jeremy and Kim are a pleasure to work with. Professional, courteous, responsive and punctual.
We highly recommend them.
Jeremy is absolutely the finest choice for a pianist for parties in Los Angeles. Not only does he play beautiful music, but he is very experienced with parties like mine. He knows all the songs we requested, knows when to stop, start, increase volume or speed up, or slow down. Jeremy has the experience, tact, and ability to work with anything that comes up. Plus, he is extremely friendly and flexible. Only if Jeremy wasn't available would I recommend anyone else - he really is the best choice for a party. From start to finish it was a real effortless experience. Top notch!
I have know Jeremy and Kim for a few years so their professionalism, punctuality and communication about the event were no surprise. Kim was great about checking in with me for details so I could focus on all the other aspects of the party. All our favorites were on Jeremy’s play list and of course he included some fantastic musical surprises! What I didn't expect was our caterer and neighbors to be so impressed and moved! The caterer immediately hired Jeremy for a future event she was planning and our neighbors when asked if the music was too loud told us they opened all the doors and windows so they could hear it better!! That’s the kind of magic that Jeremy brings to the evening. We have decided to repeat this party every year because it was so special. Having Jeremy play live made the party more fun, it heightened the evening for everyone.
Jeremy and his team were communicative and professional in the run up to our event, his fee was reasonable, he showed up on time and his talent and personality were a large part of the success of our party. He is a pleasure to work with.

Music Education, Background and Motivation:
Music has always been an integral part of my life. Growing up in the Bay Area, raised by a single mom, I was fortunate to receive a Yehudi Menuhin music scholarship to attend The Nueva School at the age of 6. The scholarship was merit based on my piano ability - and my enrollment at the prestigious private school depended on it. Another big part of my early music education was as an original member of now renowned San Francisco Bay Area’s Ragazzi Boys’ Chorus. I credit the training I received there for much of my music theory education. When my voice changed, I graduated and stopped singing and transitioned into accompanying the choir on piano. In junior high and high school I played in school jazz bands, accompanied the choirs and performed in many musical theater productions. By the time I was 12, I was getting paid as a pianist; sometimes through school as well as on my own. Summers I spent taking advanced music theory classes at SF Conservatory of Music and participated in Ragazzi summer camp, first as a camper and then as a camp counselor and music theory teacher.
My most influential teacher was Thomas LaRatta (Professor Emeritus at Notre Dame de Namur University) who I studied with privately throughout jr. high, high school and beyond. Mr. LaRatta continued to be quite the inspiration – he was a beloved teacher to many and taught his private students up until his death in 2016 at the age of 86! I always made a point to visit him when I was in the area – my last visit with him was the day after Christmas in 2015. After high school, Mr LaRatta led me to initially study piano performance at Notre Dame. I then went on to earn my Bachelors degree in Music Composition at UC Santa Barbara.
My original compositions are classically influenced and I describe much of my original work as melodic, modern classical. I love combining my music with other forms of expression such as dance, film or TV. My original compositions have received placements on TV and I appeared as the featured pianist for a wedding ceremony on David Tutera's My Fair Wedding in 2011. Kim and I also enjoy creating unique performances that combine my music with aerial, fire, pole or other modern dancers.
About 80% of the events I play are solo piano. I don’t sing as a performer, but I’m great at facilitating sing-alongs and creating a fun party atmosphere. (This is particularly popular for holiday parties or birthdays.) Of course, I have some fantastic singers that I work with and I accompany featured singers at events whether it is a wedding or a large gala. I am honored to work with some of the best musicians in LA and can create ensembles that include double bass, drums, violin, cello or vocals.
I see music as a tool I have available for lifting people up and bringing positivity to the world. Music truly is a universal language and it has the ability to reach people on a deep, emotional level. I seem to have a natural ability to infuse my playing with a lot of emotion and I love being a conduit for people to get in touch with their feelings that may be lingering below the surface. Having the opportunity to provide the music for those pivotal moments in life like walking down the aisle to get married or grieve the loss of a loved one is a real honor. Sometimes it may be as simple as putting a smile on someone’s face because I played their favorite song. I try not to take even those small things for granted because I know I am blessed to have a profession that impacts people in a personal way and in essence gives them permission to feel.
Speaking Background and Aspirations:
I got invited to a Toastmasters meeting in 2013 to hear a friend’s speech and wound up joining the club. Initially, I thought about improving my speaking skills to enhance my impact as a performer. I really dove into it, joining multiple clubs, competing in the International Speech Contest 4 times (winning in the Area Contest 3 times) and in 2018 I earned my Distinguished Toastmaster Award (DTM). Speaking has become another passion of mine and in recent years I’ve been forging a path as a professional speaker, incorporating my music to deliver “Keynote Concerts.” My aspiration is to reach larger audiences and combine my love of music and speaking to inspire, uplift and open people’s hearts.
