Jeremy Weinglass is an award-winning, classically trained pianist who connects with audiences through his music as well as his upbeat personality. With 25 years of professional experience, an extensive repertoire, and the ability to quickly learn new music, Jeremy is in high demand to perform for corporate and entertainment industry events, charity galas, weddings, and private parties throughout Southern California. He maintains a wide-ranging repertoire of classical, jazz, standards, musicals, rock and pop – including current hits. While he often performs solo, he also works with other outstanding musicians and can create ensembles that include double bass, violin, cello or vocals.
We hired Jeremy to play my grandmother’s Bechstien baby grand piano for my parents’ golden anniversary. He lent a magical ambiance to the evening, and brought family members to tears with a piece by Beethoven, a personal favorite of our late uncle. Our guests were commenting throughout the evening about how much they we’re enjoying the music, and my father, an astute lover of music, remarked to me the next day how fantastically Jeremy played. Jeremy is a gifted musician, and I suggest hiring him to play for you soon before he simply becomes unavailable due to competing bookings or his next big break!
We hired Jeremy for both our wedding ceremony and reception. For the ceremony, it was a Catholic wedding ceremony with traditional hymns and psalm. He worked well with my brother (who was the cantor for our ceremony). My brother was coming from out of town the day before, so he and Jeremy had a Skype meeting/rehearsal to prepare ahead of time. They did a great job together.
For the reception (which was a small brunch reception of 40 people), Jeremy played around 3 hours of love songs, standards and classical music as per our request. He only took a short break for a meal, then kept on playing. He added great atmosphere to the reception and people enjoyed the music.
All our specific music requests he prepared expertly for both the ceremony and reception. He's a fine musician, a pleasure to listen to.
Jeremy and Kim are a pleasure to work with. Professional, courteous, responsive and punctual.
We highly recommend them.
Jeremy is absolutely the finest choice for a pianist for parties in Los Angeles. Not only does he play beautiful music, but he is very experienced with parties like mine. He knows all the songs we requested, knows when to stop, start, increase volume or speed up, or slow down. Jeremy has the experience, tact, and ability to work with anything that comes up. Plus, he is extremely friendly and flexible. Only if Jeremy wasn't available would I recommend anyone else - he really is the best choice for a party. From start to finish it was a real effortless experience. Top notch!
I have know Jeremy and Kim for a few years so their professionalism, punctuality and communication about the event were no surprise. Kim was great about checking in with me for details so I could focus on all the other aspects of the party. All our favorites were on Jeremy’s play list and of course he included some fantastic musical surprises! What I didn't expect was our caterer and neighbors to be so impressed and moved! The caterer immediately hired Jeremy for a future event she was planning and our neighbors when asked if the music was too loud told us they opened all the doors and windows so they could hear it better!! That’s the kind of magic that Jeremy brings to the evening. We have decided to repeat this party every year because it was so special. Having Jeremy play live made the party more fun, it heightened the evening for everyone.
Jeremy and his team were communicative and professional in the run up to our event, his fee was reasonable, he showed up on time and his talent and personality were a large part of the success of our party. He is a pleasure to work with.
With a Bachelor's degree in Music Composition from UC Santa Barbara, Jeremy possesses a talent and passion for music composition for piano as well as a variety of orchestral instruments. Jeremy has been performing professionally since the age of 12 and evokes a melodic modern classical style that makes him instantly recognizable.
Since moving to Los Angeles in 2001, Jeremy has built a solid reputation as an exceptional pianist for special events, as well as restaurants, hotels, and shopping malls. Jeremy's original compositions have been licensed for use on various TV shows and he appeared as the featured pianist for a wedding ceremony on David Tutera's My Fair Wedding during the 2011 season. He has won awards for both performing and composing.
From playing background music to being the featured entertainment to even emceeing the event, Jeremy possesses a unique combination of skills that few performers provide. When you book Jeremy, he and his manager, Kim, take pride in working with you to determine the best music for your event. Whether you have specific music in mind or would like suggestions and guidance, they are here to provide you with what you need to make your event extraordinary. The music can be mixed up with a variety of genres or tailored specifically based upon the type of event or personal preference. You can even request a specific set list from his extensive repertoire, if you desire. If your venue does not have a piano, Jeremy has a keyboard and sound system or can arrange for piano rental and delivery.
