Jennifer did an excellent job of setting the scene for our cocktail hour at our wedding! Her music was well chosen and played beautifully! Thank you for making our day so special!
Jennifer was amazing to work with from booking to the day of the event. She went out of her way to be sure she knew the layout/setup of the hotel, was on-time and handled the clients needs flawlessly. Our client could not have been happier! Our team looks forward to working with Jennifer again.
Jen is an amazing musician! Our guests loved having her play the piano. She is a true professional and we will be seeing more of her in the future.
What a great way entering into an realtor open house listing last night! Jennifer definitely played amazing & she set such a welcome relaxing mode with her amazing gift/talent! Highly recommend her and will be using her for future events, venues.
Hired for a Holiday party - showed up on time, looked nice, played well.
Jennifer and Julian were terrific. I appreciated Jennifer's communication both before and at the time of the event as well as her willingness and ability to honor our special requests. The event was a birthday celebration for my mother's 100th and everyone had a wonderful time. Jennifer has a beautiful voice and Julian is a great pianist.
Thank you so much.
We hired Jennifer through Gigsalad and could not be more pleased with our choice! She played music that was appropriate to the setting, was very professional, and she is a very nice person. Would definitely hire her again!

What to Expect
Typically my performances are with my band, or singing with backing tracks, or piano solo, just depends on what the client requests. I do my best to get creative and put together whatever type of show you want, can add song special requests, or costumes. I have done subdued all black for a funeral, to cocktail attire with jazz trio, to formal gown for a glamorous party, and everything in between. As a performer, I have an ease on stage, and interact with my audience when appropriate, I have a quick wit and a sometimes dry sense of humor, I love what I do and it shows in my performances, just can't help myself, usually have the biggest smile when I'm singing, this is a dream come true to be working as a professional musician. I do my best to provide clear communication with the client prior to and during the event, as organized as possible with clear expectations, contracts for each event, and willingness to work with whatever challenges come up and resolve it. I have a contingency plan for all events, if an emergency comes up and I'm not able to perform that day, I have a sub list of professionals ready and waiting with minimal notice to come jump in and play piano or sing with the band, the show must go on!
Music has been my love my whole life, starting as a kid with piano, joining school and church choirs throughout middle and high school, and continuing on with a Minor in Piano Performance in college. But always figured it would be a strong hobby, and got my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and pursued my software engineering career for the next 10 years. But music wasn’t letting me go that easily, I started playing piano on weekends for churches again, and joined several community choirs, it was still my passion, there was just nothing else like it when I was performing on stage. But in 2012 came a major life change when I was diagnosed with a very rare form of adult-onset muscular dystrophy that was slowly taking my walking ability and much of my strength. But I wasn’t about to let that stop me, when I was no longer able to work my original full-time career anymore, I took a step back to regroup, and then started my own music business and stepped into the professional world with my music skills. What I found was a place for my music skills I had built over a lifetime, a professional community of musicians who embraced me with open arms, and followers and supporters eager for me to share my passion of singing and the piano. This new career has continued to grow and now in demand as a pianist and singer, I’m an accompanist for local schools and theaters as well as the Orlando Ballet, have played in the orchestra pits at Dr. Phillips Performing Arts and Annie Russell Theatre, and pianist with the CFCArts Symphony Orchestra. I sing with my own jazz trio, and perform for all kinds of corporate and private events. Yes, I’ve been dealt some challenges, but I met it with a creative outlook and a strong spirit. I now get around in a power wheelchair and have a mobility and task trained service dog, and a modified wheelchair van. And I’m currently creating an inspirational cabaret show to share my story and celebrate with music. I am thrilled to be actually doing what I had always dreamed of, and hope to get to share it with you!
Additional Booking Notes
I am equipped to provide a full sound system for a room capacity up to 250 guests. And provide a sound tech to setup/break down, run sound for the duration of the event. Can also use an existing sound system as long as have inputs for vocals and instrumentals for that event, ranging from just me singing with backing tracks to full band with keyboard, bass, drums, and any additional instruments. I work with each client to determine the sound system needs:)
Staging: If you've seen my promo photos, you've seen my transportation from place to place, and sometimes even on the stage, my power wheelchair! Yes, I have limited walking and standing ability, and sit most of the time when I perform, either transferring to the piano bench or stool on stage, or when accessible, I often stay seated in my wheelchair at the piano or with my band. I bring a strong stage assistant with me, have a modified wheelchair van, and a service dog, so we make it work! We have portable ramps as well, so you'd be surprised what locations we can get into. When we can't get my wheelchair on stage, my assistant is able to help me get on stage to whatever seating arrangement works best. Mostly all I need from a client is access to the venue for a walk-through prior to the day of the event or video or photos that show the path from parking area to the performance area, and my crew figures out the rest. I'm just so grateful that my mobility limitations don't stop me from doing what I love with music:)

Influences & Inspiration
As a singer, my biggest influence is the Great American Songbook, music theatre, Disney. And also sing inspirational, gospel, and pop. I just have felt the most connected to music from a different era, especially the 1940s, I sing a lot of jazz standards, I just love how that music has stood the test of time, and I'm able to put my own style into the music. Music theatre holds a special place in my heart as well, I often perform as pit pianist with the band for local theater and school productions, and love to sing that style. As someone from Orlando, FL, as you might imagine, I love all things Disney, I put my jazz spin on many classic Disney tunes, as well as fun arrangements for solo piano. I have been a church musician for many years, starting as a church pianist by the time I was 14, sang on multiple praise teams and choirs, and have been the Director of Music for a couple local churches, so am happy to put together gospel sets, or praise and worship experience to share with your guests, if that's what you're looking for:) I'm also working on a inspirational sort of cabaret, where I share my personal journey into becoming a professional musician, and the obstacles I've been able to overcome to continue doing what I love no matter the challenge!
Depends on the type of event.
