Thank you, Jennifer, for sharing beautiful music with Dunedin. I know your area was busy every time I walked by. Not only did you sing your selected songs, but you also took requests from crowd and allowed them to sing along with you.

About
Music has been my love my whole life, starting as a kid with piano, joining school and church choirs throughout middle and high school, and continuing on with a Minor in Piano Performance in college. But always figured it would just be a strong hobby, and got my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and pursued my software engineering career for the next 10 years. But music wasn’t letting me go that easily, I started playing piano on weekends for churches again, and sang with several community choirs, it was still my passion, there was just nothing else like it when I was performing on stage. But in 2012 came a major life change when I was diagnosed with a very rare form of adult-onset muscular dystrophy that was slowly taking my walking ability and much of my strength. But I wasn’t about to let that stop me, when I was no longer able to work my original full-time career anymore, I took a step back to regroup, and then started my own music business and stepped into the professional world with my music skills. What I found was a place for those music skills I had built over a lifetime, a professional community of musicians who embraced me with open arms, and followers and supporters eager for me to share my passion of singing and playing the piano. This new career has continued to grow and am now in demand as a pianist and singer, I’m an accompanist for multiple local schools and theaters as well as the Orlando Ballet, have played in the orchestra pits at Dr. Phillips Performing Arts and Annie Russell Theatre, and pianist with the CFCArts Symphony Orchestra. I sing with my own jazz trio, and perform for all kinds of corporate and private events. Yes, I’ve been dealt some challenges, but I meet it with a creative outlook and a strong spirit. I now get around in a power wheelchair and have a mobility and task trained service dog and a modified wheelchair van. And I’m currently creating an inspirational cabaret to share my story and celebrate with music. I am thrilled to be actually doing what I had always dreamed of, and hope to get to share it with you!
Additional booking notes
I am equipped to provide a sound system for anything from a smaller intimate setting up to a room capacity of around 250 guests. I have crew who handle all setup, breakdown, and run sound during the performance. We can also use an existing sound system at a venue. I don’t currently have lighting or staging equipment but I can always contract that out.
Accessibility: If you've seen my promo photos, you've seen my seating arrangement and transportation, my power wheelchair! I have very limited walking and standing ability, so I stay seated when I perform, either transferring to the piano bench or barstool, or seated in my wheelchair to perform whenever that is an option. I have stage assistant with me to manage all mobility logistics, I drive a modified wheelchair van, and have a service dog to help me with mobility and various tasks, we make it work! We have portable ramps as well, can get into most performance areas. When we can't get my power wheelchair on to a stage, we bring a smaller manual chair and my assistant gets me where I need to go.

Influences and inspiration
As a singer, my biggest influence is the Great American Songbook and music theatre. And also love inspirational, gospel, and pop. I just always felt especially connected to the standards of the 1930s and 40s, I just love how that music has stood the test of time, and I'm able to put my own style into the music. Music theatre holds a special place in my heart as well, I often perform as pit pianist for local theater and school productions, and love to sing that style. As someone from Orlando, FL, as you might imagine, I love all things from that magical theme park right down the road, I put my jazz spin on many classic tunes, as well as fun arrangements for solo piano. I have been playing and singing for church since I was 14, sang with many praise teams and choirs, as well as Director of Music for a couple churches, so can put together gospel or praise and worship sets that fit your setting. Looking ahead, I’m also working on my solo cabaret, putting together a show I can book all over Florida.
