Jen Mirambeau grew up playing sports and games outdoors in the suburbs of Miami, Florida.
Upon attending college, studying environmental science, sociology and psychology at the University of Central Florida she began deeply observing society and herself noticing how collectivly we were slowly losing an important aspect of ourselves. That aspect is our inner playful spirit which keeps us connected to our authentic selves, keeps our minds open, our bodies active and preserves our youth, beauty and overall health and wellbeing.
After college graduation she began traveling throughout the United States and parts of South America, Central America and Indonesia and began to see a clear distinction between the playful adults who stayed in flow and the ones who lost their youthful spirit. The adults who maintained their inner child were joyful, more self expressed, less stressed, open to new ideas and were typically in great physical shape (even in the upper ages). Meanwhile the ones who seemed to lose the spirit of their inner child appeared to look much older, seemed less happy, were not as open to new ideas, lost much physical mobility (unless they made an effort to stay physically active) and many complained of physical pain.
Jen at the same time was taking a deep look at herself, externally and internally and began to see all the areas where she was holding back and not fully expressing her true authentic self out of fear. She began to see and feel where that fear became stored in her body and how she was losing physical mobility and even endured a serious knee injury.
In an attempt to shift the trajectory of her life to be more physically mobile, healthy, mentally clear, emotionally free and to heal from her injury she began studying and practicing yoga, holistic health and qigong.
She made changes to her daily routine and diet including a body alignment movement practice/yoga, breathwork/meditation practice, removed toxic food and body care products from her shopping lists and removed toxic thought patterns from her mind.
At the same time she was making these shifts she discovered dance. Jen had never really danced before and was actually quite scared of it throughout her childhood and adolescence but something began shifting and this time. She let go of fears of what others thought it looked like and surrendered to the music. She danced like never before and it felt AMAZING.
She experienced miraculous healing effects of flow state dancing and began to feel those therapeutic benefits spill over into her life outside of the dance floor and she became more creative and self expressed.
With a strong desire to expand this talent she began practicing dance at age 23 and is now a professional fire dancer/flow artist performing around the world and leads movement expansion classes for adults to tap back into their inner playful spirit. She feels called to share the practices that have changed her life and helped her find inner peace, joy, balance and alignment.
Jen also teaches yoga and meditation and teaches her practices to children as well.
