Alice Grace was born in Washington and grew up in Bangladesh where she practiced the dance of her roots. She was brought up cross training in classical Indian dances of Bharatnatyum from Tamil Nadu, Kathak from the Northern Indias as well as Odissi of the Odisha. In her peak teenage years she was introduced to the world of fire dancing with props such as poi and fans which she later as an adult started to combine together with the dance of the orient most popularly known as belly dance. This organic development in her dance with a diverse background of vastly rich cultures gives birth to performances that are unlike any other you have seen. There are many fusion dancers out there but what makes Alice unique is that she has a solid foundation in each of the styles individually before she combined them, adding depth and authenticity to the dance form as well as maintaining the integrity of the respected cultures her style has taken shape from.
