I provide soft, laid-back music for events like: wedding receptions, private parties, wine-tasting events, artist receptions, and more. I play guitar, using a unique finger-picking & strumming style, to accompany smooth, velvet vocals. My catalog of music that I perform is quite diverse and includes: old jazz standards (songs by Gershwin, Irving Berlin, etc.), songs from Broadway musicals ( Rodgers & Hammerstein, Lerner & Lowe, etc.), songs from the '60's (Beatles, Bee Gees, Young Rascals, Brazil 66, etc.), from the 70's ( James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon, Carole King, etc.), as well as, some of my own compositions, as I am also a songwriter. Audiences tell me that seeing and hearing me play "live" has been a very pleasing, soothing, and memorable experience that they would like to experience again. I have one client who has booked me to play at her artist receptions three times. My kind of performance is "flexible" because it can be "up-front" and "in the spotlight" or it can be laid-back and soft, in the background, and intimate, whatever way my client wants it.
I am a solo musician who plays guitar and sings in a variety of styles and genres. Along with the catalog of music I have available, oftentimes I can pretty much learn whatever my clients would like me to play. (Of course there are songs that are particularly difficult so I'll use a disclaimer here and say that once in a while my efforts are in vain. But, for the most part, in my experience, I have found that I can usually learn fairly quickly whatever my clients request.) I have performed throughout the Los Angeles area and in surrounding cities, at weddings (during the service, as well as, at the reception), at artists' receptions, wine-tasting events, church services, retirement homes, wine-bars, coffeehouses, and more. Unless, your venue already has it, I can provide a P.A. sound system. I am also a singer/songwriter so I, also, perform my original music at "house concerts". I am very happy to say that my clients have all been very pleased with my services and I really enjoy what I do so I will make sure your event is extra special with quality musical entertainment that you and your guests are happy with.
The only thing my "solo" performance would require would be a nearby electrical outlet to plug in my P.A. sound system, if one is not provided.
