JC and The Redemption is an 11 piece horn band that plays the best Funk/Stax/Soul music you've ever heard. We feature the most talented musicians that Central Illinois has to offer. We play everything from Tower Of Power, Blood, Sweat and Tears, Sam and Dave, Adele, Stevie Wonder and Otis Redding. We are a complete entertainment package featuring the classic look of the dancing horn line. This is a family friendly show that will definitely get your toes tappin', your head bobbin' and you dancing your heart away!

unforgettable band! JC and The Redemption presents a lively and energetic show that will keep your guests entertained and dancing all night long! The funkalicious sounds of this 11-piece Funk/Soul/Stax horn band are complete with horn moves and soul singers. You'll be proud to present us to your guests! Selections are chosen from the hits of Stevie Wonder, Tower of Power, Sam and Dave, Blues Brothers, Otis Redding, Ray Charles, James Brown, The Temptations, and many more. (Big Band era music is available upon request.) You and your guests will have a hard time sitting still!

About

This 11-piece band was formed in 2012 by drummer and bandleader Jeremy Clark. Clark desired to play in a high caliber Funk band featuring a professional-grade horn line that played all the classic Funk, Soul and Stax charts. The band is influenced by Tower of Power, Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, Blood Sweat and Tears, and Hornheads, among others. JC and The Redemption operates out of Peoria, IL. The band performs at a variety of places including The Fieldhouse, Peoria Pizza Works, and The CEFCU Center Stage on the Peoria Riverfront to name a few.

Breaks:
to perform at your event, the musicians require:
1. All information required in this contract.
2.A secure performance venue and confirmation that it meets all of the following requirements.
3. A loading zone or parking area convenient and accessible to the performance location.
4.Wheelchair accessibility to the performance location, or an entrance with very few stairs/narrow passages.
5. The band is to be located for the duration of the performance on a safe, undisturbed, level floor area, at least 25' x 15', a reasonable distance from any burning fireplaces or fire pits, away from other drafts, rain, or mist. Shade is recommended outdoors.
6. Minimum of 4 electrical outlets within 6 feet of preferred set-up location of performance area.
7. Good, strong light that will illuminate the playing area during set-up and tear-down.
8. At least {4} 20 amp outlets within 6 feet of the performance area.
9. A nearby room to securely store band equipment and personal items during the performance.
10. A designated liaison to supply appropriate “cues” regarding timing of performance, as well as any needed assistance to the musicians at the event.
11. The musicians CANNOT play outside in wet weather. For an outdoor event, the client accepts responsibility to ar- range (in advance) a dry, water-proof shelter for the musician in the event of rain or damp weather.
12. The client agrees to provide meals and drinks for all band members and crew (totaling 13 persons) if the total time contracted meets or exceeds 3 consecutive hours, excluding set-up and tear-down time.

BREAKS: After the first hour, each additional hour will include one 15-minute paid break.

Over-time: If the client's event is running into over-time, the musician is not obligated to remain at the event beyond the end-time stated in the contract. If the musician does not have a following engagement and is able to stay late (and is so requested by the client), the client agrees to pay the additional sum owed to the performer at the conclusion of the event, calculated at a rate of $325 per 30 minutes. JC and The Redemption may not be booked for more than 4 consecutive hours. The client who signs this contract accepts responsibility to pay the musician all applicable over-time charges at the conclusion of the event.
