Jazz Piano, Pianist, Accompanist
Overview
With ten years of experience, I am a pianist proficient in reading, accompanying, playing shows, weddings, services, and performing both classical recitals and jazz shows. I have sideman, composer, and bandleader experience.
I am available as a solo musician, clinician, substitute/guest keyboard player, or as a small group jazz act ranging from two-five people. I am also available as a classical accompanist for instrumentalists or vocalists.
I have a Masters of Music from NC Central University in Jazz Studies, and perform frequently in the Triangle area of NC.
While I am available for gigs up to ≈150miles away, travel beyond ≈35 minutes requires appropriate travel compensation.

December 9, 2019Zach is talented!
Zach played the role of jazz pianist Elliott Nash at a murder mystery party I hosted. He was so very accommodating, dressing the part of a 1920’s era jazz club pianist, playing 1930’s era jazz tunes during the first act while guests mingled and danced as well as playing a key character role in the murder mystery itself. My guests absolutely loved him! He was on time and very professional in his business manner. On top of all of this, he has some super jazz chops! Very gifted pianist! I highly recommend Zach!

Influences and inspiration
For jazz performances, expect sounds that are influenced by small groups such Miles Davis Quintet, Lester Young with the Oscar Peterson Trio, Brian Blade and the Fellowship Band, Ahmad Jamal.
For shows, accompanist work, or classical music, this can include showtunes, rock tunes, Beatles songs, Bach sonatas, Fauré works, Lieder/Chanson, etc. or popular classical music performed at weddings, as well as classic or contemporary RnB (Marvin Gaye/Grover Washington Jr. to Daniel Caesar/Musiq Soulchild).
