December 15, 2018Tyler arrived early, set up his keyboard and speakers quickly and was ready to play prior to our guests arrival. He was friendly, personable and clearly very experienced playing at private parties. He played our Christmas party in our home and kept the music at a very nice level so people could still chat with their friends while he was playing. We will absolutely contact Tyler to play at future events that we host!

Tyler Michael Smith is a pianist with a wide range of experience from touring worldwide to solo piano performance at parties and weddings. His style is primarily jazz, which adds a nice touch to the ambiance of your event.
Tyler Michael Smith was born and raised in the Nashville area and is the son of contemporary Christian artist Michael W. Smith. Needless to say, music was a large part of his upbringing and he begin classical piano lessons at age 5. In his teenage years he developed a love for jazz and began to write his own arrangements for classic jazz standards and also compose material of his own. Tyler has since toured a as a keyboard player for various artists, including his father, 4HIM, and Guy Penrod of the Gaither Band (current.) Tyler also plays piano in the Nashville area for parties, weddings, and other events.
