January 14, 2017Great pianist for any occasion - definitely recommend
Daniel did a wonderful job with the ceremony music for our December wedding. He was recommended to us by the event coordinator at our venue and was very easy to communicate and plan with via email. He provided recommendations for common selections for each component of the ceremony but was also able to learn new pieces where we wanted them. I LOVED his modern version of bridal march for my entrance. Daniel was very professional and reasonably priced and we would absolutely recommend him for any event.

March 8, 2016Daniel Salo is "The Jazz Man" in my book
I know a large number of excellent pianists from my 14 years of singing and playing guitar in a variety of venues, and let me just say Daniel is one of the best pianists I know. I respect him as a fellow musician that can play a wide variety of styles and genres, but have always been wowed when he starts playing jazz. If you're looking for someone that can fill a room by themselves with either jazzed-up interpretations of hymns or some classic Sinatra/Nat King Cole/Sammy Davis Jr. standards, Daniel Salo's the man. Neither you or your guests will be disappointed. The guys a pro.
p.s. (He's a superb accompanist as well. We had him play jazz standards as people were being seated at our wedding. He accompanied me and a band during the wedding with a variety of songs, then he jumped back to jazz as people exited to our adjoined reception, and continued playing through the reception.)

January 5, 2016Wonderful wedding pianist!
Daniel played at our wedding in August 2015, and we were thrilled with his performance! During planning, he laid out a number of popular wedding songs that he already played, but was more than willing to learn anything that we might want. He ended up learning a couple of new songs, including one from my favorite band, the Avett Brothers. He was great leading up to the wedding- sending clips of the songs he was working on, showing up to rehearsal ready to play, coordinating with the DJ, etc.
All of this to say, Daniel is a true professional: his range of musical competency is impressive and his communication and preparation is beyond satisfactory. I highly recommend Daniel for any occasion!

December 17, 2015Professional; Great Talent
When my regular pianist was unable to appear as scheduled, I hired Daniel to play piano for an evening performance with my band. He did a fantastic job for us, and I was impressed with both his playing talent and with his professionalism. He was punctual and polished, and I was thankful that he was responsive in his communication both prior to and then during the performance. He will do a terrific job for your event.
