Thanks Pat for the opportunity to perform for your mom Joy. Such a beautiful soul. And thank you for your grace and the grace of the guests due to the technical issue starting out. We made it work and it ended better than it began.
Be blessed,
Jay & Katrina

September 21, 2024Extraordinary Experience to Say the Least!!!
We host a yearly backyard concert for our neighbors and friends. Jay Goff was recommended by a mutual friend who attested to his special musical talent. Jay certainly didn't disappoint.
In two different sets, Jay masterfully and respectfully, mimicked Elvis Presley in voice and mannerism. His voice and range closely matched the King of Rock and Roll's. Jay possessed tremendous stage presence and easily commanded the attention of our audience. He lightly cajoled with the crowd and impressed the ladies by placing neckerchiefs around many of the adoring ladies' necks. For us to witness a nonagenarian relive a time in her life when she enamored King was priceless!
At the end, he personally walked around in character and thanked each and every person in attendance. He was courteous to us, the hosts, and met and exceeded our every request. It was very evident that Jay liked making people smile and having a good evening. He indeed took care of business. WOW!!!

What to expect
When you book me here is what you can expect from my performance:
1. Dramatic entrance just like Elvis in the Vegas years
2. Authentic interpretation of Elvis’s performances
3. Lots of audience connection and interaction
4. Scarves given out
5. Lots of laughs
6. Honoring the person who booked me
7. Photo-ops with “the king.”
8. Mingling with audience before and after the show (time permitting).
My wife and I set up and tear down all equipment and usually require these things:
1. 2 hrs of equipment set up and costume/make-up time
2. If possible, we like to set up equipment a day prior to the show, but can set up the day of at least 2 hrs prior to performance. ***(Only 1 hr for non-Elvis performances)***
3. Electrical outlets accessibility
4. Entry and exit locations
5. Name of any special guests
6. At least 10x10 foot of space for performing
7. No soft grounds like grassy or dirt yards for performing
8. While I have a blast with kids and will often interact them in my shows, I ask that they be kept clear of the stage, musical instruments and equipment.
After the show, I would greatly appreciate a review of my performance and collaborative efforts to provide the best show possible to you and your audience. If for ANY reason you are not satisfied with my services, PLEASE do not hesitate to let me know ASAP. This will allow me to make necessary adjustments to ensure all future events are met with all the intentions of a great show. I don’t shy away from constructive criticism and suggestions.
My goal will ALWAYS be to perform above your expectations and leave the event with people still talking you up for hiring me.
About
I grew up with Elvis as my boyhood hero as a way to escape my reality of a dysfunctional childhood and find strength in the world of imitating the king of rock & roll. As a kid who was constantly bullied in school, I discovered that whenever I sang as Elvis, the kids were less aggressive towards me and even enjoyed what I would do.
I’ve always said that there were three men in my life who saved me from doom: Elvis Presley, Uncle Sam (when I joined the US Army), and Jesus Christ ( I discovered Him while in the army). I hope that I have honored all three, and that I continue to do so.
While in the US Army, I had the great fortune of playing with my first band, The Fugitives, while serving in Germany. We performed for a lot of military and German-American festivals. I also had the chance to perform with the Wurzburg Music & Theatre Branch where I performed for formal military events and more festivals.
Upon my return to the states to serve at Ft. Stewart, GA, I began doing solo shows playing covers with my guitar, a microphone, and a drum machine. When I left the service, I had planned on making music my career, but life had other plans during those years.
I soon joined the Missouri Army National Guard ( I missed the military, but not enough to go full time again). On a training trip to Mississippi, a group of Country artists from Nashville came to perform for the military. At the time, I was working part-time as a radio broadcaster for a small town country music station in Versailles, MO. Using that credential, I made it back stage to interview some of the artists. After a few interviews, I managed to introduce the fact that I too longed to be a recording artist in Nashville. They gave me the time and opportunity to audition a couple of songs for them.
After that event, I got a call from a production company in Nashville. I chickened out and walked away from my dream because of a serious lack of belief in my talents. Then a tumultuous marriage caused me to give up music altogether.
Thankfully, several years later, I married a woman who loved my music and believed in me far greater than I did. So I began to sing again and even play my guitar again. While in a huge networking organization, a Toys-4-Tots event was being organized and one of the members of this organization happened to remember that I had once performed as Elvis. I was asked to perform and got the gig. My first time on stage doing Elvis in several years. It felt good to be back!
At my wife’s encouragement, I entered a competition that was endorsed by the Elvis Presley Enterprise to discover the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist. While I was pretty hesitant about registering, mostly because I knew that I would never be able to match the other contestants who were younger and more seasoned as performers, I did it. More for experience and fun than any expectation I would place much less win.
After watching the video playbacks, I could tell that I had some work to do if I was going to represent and honor my hero, so I went back home and began studying the moves, the voice, the details of delivery, etc. My goal was not to BE Elvis, but to bring him to the audience along with some laughs, great music, and recall favorite memories where Elvis played a part in the lives of those who grew up while he was still with us. That’s why performing for the men and women who reside in residential living homes are some of the most rewarding for me. They know the songs, they were married to his music, and husbands used to sing to their brides the songs I bring back.
Besides doing shows as an Elvis Tribute Artist, I am bringing back my favorites from present to the past classics as a cover artist (singing in my own actual voice and style) plus I have 5 other shows to choose from when you check out my website at (link hidden)
Hope to be working with you and providing entertainment for your event soon.
