Entertainer, dance instructor, music aficionado and all around fun guy!
I am writing this review for the sole purpose of helping YOU--the person reading this. My wedding was months ago, and I am just as passionate about my disappointment in this DJ, as well as my desire to not let him ruin another bride's big day. You get ONE shot at this...one day. I could not urge you more to FIND ANOTHER COMPANY. Here's the run down version of my experience:
I met Jason and his team at the Columbus Bride & Groom expo, where they were a complete hit! He genuinely seemed like he cared during our initial contact and phone calls. However, the lack of "professionalism" set in right away. He was late to both meetings we had, showing up completely unprepared, without so much of a pen to take notes with or the contract he said he would bring. My husband even joked that he hoped Jason would show up on time to our wedding. Well, that wasn't a problem because he showed up (unannounced) to the hotel where I was getting ready, about 3 hours before the wedding, in complete chaos. He did not have the itinerary printed (that I typed up and sent to him 2 days after our final meeting), or the songs downloaded (that I edited myself and sent to him a week prior). He caused me so much unnecessary stress that morning.
The wedding itself was a bust, on his part. He messed up the music for my wedding party entrances (music I had already edited together, all he had to do was press play). At the reception, our timeline was completely thrown off due to the rain. All the decisions fell in my lap-what do we do now? Towards the end of dinner, we needed to get pictures done before we lost daylight. My sister informed Jason that we were going outside to do that. We snuck out for about an hour or so to get these done. There were yard games and a photo booth, but hardly anyone knew about the photo booth because come to find out, it was never announced during the time of our absence. I heard nothing but complaints about the music he was playing and was told too many times that he refused to play requested songs. He was nowhere to be found at the end of songs I had asked him to fade, leaving us with some awkward endings. When the time finally came to open the dance floor, his selection of songs was mundane and outdated. He hardly played any of the songs we discussed, or requested at our meetings. Again, nothing but complaints from my guests...of all ages! I think it's pretty clear to say that we were 100% dissatisfied.
The real lack of professionalism set in though, when I reached out to him prior to writing any reviews, in an attempt to be more understanding. He was threatening and nasty with his responses, blaming ME for the series of unfortunate events. But if you've read it this far into my review, and are still not convinced... please, contact me and I'd be happy to share the details. I spoke with another major vendor from that day, who claimed Jason was difficult to work with and refused to take any of their suggestions when our timeline got messed up. It was a disaster! Please don't let this happen to you!
