I've been hiring Jared for Rootstock Wine Bar for a while and he's always great, as well as the musicians he brings with his band. He can play any genre and often pleases the guests with requests. What to expect
When you hire me, you get a professional saxophone performance tailored to the atmosphere and needs of your event. I provide live music for celebrations, weddings, cocktail hours, private events, festivals, and romantic occasions, with flexible ensemble options to fit different spaces, styles, and budgets.
Audiences can expect a polished, engaging performance featuring saxophone music across a variety of styles, including jazz, soul, pop, Latin, and romantic ballads. My goal is to complement the event without overpowering it, creating the right atmosphere whether guests are mingling, dining, celebrating, or enjoying a featured musical moment.
I offer three performance options:
Solo Saxophone: Saxophone with backing tracks, specializing in smooth jazz ballads and romantic pop. Ideal for intimate settings, ceremonies, dinners, and romantic celebrations.
Saxophone Duo: Saxophone with piano or guitar. A versatile choice for cocktail hours, indoor events, and intimate gatherings, with music ranging from jazz and soul to pop and Latin.
Saxophone Trio: Saxophone with guitar or piano and drums/cajón. A fuller, more energetic ensemble suited for weddings, outdoor events, festivals, and larger celebrations.
As a client, you can expect a flexible musical experience designed around your event. I work with you to select the appropriate ensemble and repertoire for your setting and can provide a song bank to help with planning. Whether you want elegant background music or a more lively performance, the goal is to create an enjoyable and memorable experience for you and your guests.
About
Jared Carbajal is a formidable, Saxophonist, Performer, Composer and Band leader in the San Francisco Bay Area. Born into a family in the arts, Jared's musical career began at an early age. By the age of sixteen, Jared was already performing in local venues throughout the Bay Area. With Jared's ability to play genres such as Pop, R&B, Latin, Rock, Jazz, Funk, he went on to form his career and develop a talent and reputation as a skilled and versatile saxophonist.
Over the past five years Jared has received his Bachelors of Music in Jazz Studies Saxophone Performance from San Diego State University, record at Capitol Records and had the privilege to tour the United States and Europe. In Addition, he has also been blessed to share the stage with World renowned artists such as Rick Ross, Tito Puente Jr, Huey Dunbar, Gordon Goodwin, Wayne Bergeron, Jon Faddis, and more!
As a leader of The (408) Collective band he arranged and co-produced the songs “Hit the Ground” and “LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.” Jared has been featured in many Hollywood commercials and performed live on TV shows such as ABC’s “Schooled.”
Jared is currently dividing his time performing, touring as well as doing local performances. He is currently a member of, The (408) Collective, Starman (David Bowie Tribute), Three Flower Jam, The Francis Experience, The Alternative Symphony and The Bay Blue Notes. Having spent over 8 seasons performing for amusement parks such as California’s Great America, Seaworld, Disnelyland and Professional sports teams such as the Golden State warriors and the SF Giants, Jared is seen to be a powerhouse saxophonist everywhere he performs.
Additional booking notes
For events longer than 2hours I request a parking space be provided and a meal equivalent to those attending the event. For the performance, I require a sound system large enough to cover the entire room I will be performing. I am happy to provide sound for my solo performance for an additional charge.
