Outstanding Musicians for Any Setting

I held an outdoor pig roast for forty people, invited from various walks of life. Jann and his talented ensemble displayed their versatility, upbeat attitude and audience involvement from the first note, completely captivating the group with a spectrum of blues, jazz, Motown and classics, to which they received an eager toe-tapping, sing-along-with-every-word-response. Not only the invitees, but the park rangers who wandered over, drawn to Jann's music, were bopping right along. As a host, this was gratifying to see, and I have been rewarded further by unsolicited positive feedback on their performance - Jann and his group set the positive tone, swept the crowd along a great musical journey, and were a major contribution to this memorable event.

In sum, everybody, including the band, had a good time.

Professional from start to finish, with a price that's right, it's been an honor to introduce Jann and his music to my friends.

What to expect

Here’s what to expect from The Percolators:

When you walk into your event space, you will be transported to the storied streets of New Orleans. The ambience will feel like you and your guests are partying on Bourbon St. The music is infectious! People will have fun and communicate their pleasure to you with their compliments. You will be pleased that the band has arrived on time and set up efficiently. Also, you will like the professional way the band’s equipment appears on stage. You may also feel relieved to know that, though the band plays with energy, if you need to make an announcement, toast a guest (be honored yourself), or sing “Happy Birthday,” we will happily accommodate that. In consideration of your guests, we are sensitive to volume and will make sure everyone can talk comfortably.

On the other hand, If you want us to pump up the volume, increase the funk or find a mellow groove, we can do that, too!

Most importantly, our performance will help create joyful memories. As we like to say, "Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler”- and a good-time party it will be.

With our own unique “gumbo” of New Orleans based musical styles, we infuse your event with a joyful, raucous energy that is the very essence of Mardi Gras! We are six very experienced musicians, but we can be configured in sizes ranging from a single musician up to full band size. We have played together in the current assembly for three years, but have played in other projects in different combinations for many more years than that. The musicians include: guitarist/male lead vocalist, female lead vocalist, keyboard/trumpet/vocalist, Bass/tuba/vocalist, harmonica player, drummer. There is an option to increase the number of horn players for up to eight musicians total with an additional add-on fee.

Additional booking notes

We can provide sound reinforcement (PA system) and an audio engineer to run the mixing board. This is figured into the price you will be quoted. On the other hand, if the sound system at the venue is of professional caliber and of sufficient strength to provide good sound, we may be able to save you some money.
