What to Expect
Janis Lives is a Live Music Celebration of Janis Joplin. We perform more than 20 of Janis Joplins' songs including all of the hits. We can deliver up to a 2 hour show and dependent on the venue, can incorporate our multi media stage show that includes psychedelia and memorobilia on the big projection screen. NO ONE sounds and looks and embodies the energy of Janis Joplin like Sherrie "Voxxy" Johnson in Janis Lives! Prepare yourself for the finest flashback!
About
Janis Lives is the Definitive celebration of a rock-n-roll legend, the queen of psychedelic blues herself, Janis Joplin!
Fronted by Sherrie "Voxxy" Johnson, a veteran vocalist in the Pacific Northwest, who after years of being told she looks and sounds eerily like Janis, finally gave in to the many requests to create a show in honor of the Rock Goddess. After 2 years of auditioning to find the right musicians to do this project justice, Voxxy and her manager Darrell Fortune (NWCZ radio)
have created a jaw dropping, spine tingling stage show to take you back to a time long gone, but never forgotten.
Janis Lives captures the energy and presence of a woman who helped define an era. All Hail...JANIS LIVES!
