Our DJ and Live Music selection includes good clean music from multiple genres and decades to give everyone a reason to dance! September 2, 2026We absolutely loved working with Jake (and Kristen!) for our wedding in May! All we knew going in was we wanted a DJ to handle the sound for our wedding and keep the flow going strong, but Jake brought so much more to the table. Jake's FretWorks can either DJ or do a live performance during the ceremony, and we opted for the DJ experience. We connected with Jake immediately, he heard us and brought ideas to make our day even better. He organized our thoughts, laid them out in a structured way, and was able to suggest music that fit right in with what we like. He also made sure the sound was spot on and everyone was mic'd up properly, which went a long way to relieving stress from us.
I want to mention two things in particular. First, the screen logo they made for us. Knowing we're both gamers (and what our favorites are), they created a fantastic Final Fantasy-inspired logo/animation and had it displayed at the DJ booth during the reception. It was a great touch that really amped up the whole experience. Ask him for the screen logo, you won't regret it.
Second, our private last dance. We knew what song we wanted to dance to for our last dance of the night, and Jake offered to serenade us live with the song instead of just playing it. Having the song sang to us was touching and emotional, and really ended the night on a beautiful note.
I honestly couldn't recommend Jake's FretWorks more. Jake and Kristen are both absolute professionals and just real, down to earth people who want to make a wedding a night to remember. We went with Jake thanks to reviews and recommendations, and it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

He helped us to customize our song selection for the ceremony and reception and then we switched to DJ mode for some dancing fun! Guests were able to make requests which we loved. Jake's FretWorks is a variety guitar duo utilizing top-quality backing tracks to give you the biggest sound without the price tag of a full band. With our unmatched flexibility, you can choose from electric and acoustic guitar arrangements, vocal and instrumental configurations, and full-sound to stripped-down feel. Most clients utilize our elegant female vocalists, although budget-conscious couples can choose a solo male singing guitarist. Some of our female vocalists play other instruments such as guitar and piano and can add a necessary flair to your event.
Jake is the music director and singing guitarist of Jake's FretWorks. He has been playing guitar, singing, and performing live for over 24 years and has been a worship leader for the last 13. Since he played his first wedding 10 years ago, he has had a passion for bringing his guitar expertise into unforgettable wedding experiences for couples. His unique skill set brings an ability to set a mood and create a canvas on which to tell your story.
We can provide our own PA system and equipment for our own sound, plus wireless microphones for the officiant and during vow exchange. We can support multiple spaces within your venue to keep the music flowing.
For outdoor weddings, we require some type of shelter. We provide battery-powered equipment to fully mobilize our setup.
