Audiences can expect to be motivated, inspired and equipped with the courage to go out and create an unrecognizable life, by the power that is already within them. Topics will include, leadership, motivation entrepreneurship, daring to be different and overcoming fear despite the odds stacked against you. There will be audience engagement for a more joyous experience. Schools, youth and women events often book me for virtual and in person workshops, community fairs, youth parties and seminars.

Sharmetra Aubrey Lewis, is small town country girl, born and raised in Homer, LA. She graduated from Homer High School in 2006, and 2 years later moved to Dallas, TX at the age of nineteen, to create a better future for herself and daughter. Sharmetra is a teacher, author, founder of Bridging Inspired Believers' LLC, a mentor to young girls and an inspirational speaker. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, an Associates of Science Degree and teachers certification. She also travels to speak to youth and women on various topics such as: Leadership, entrepreneurship, motivation, overcoming fears and daring to be different.

All sounds great, but Sharmetra is no stranger to facing adversities in life. Growing up in a low income household, with three siblings and no consistent father figure, she was familiar with having to go without certain necessities, in order to get by to another day. It was during her early teenage years as a single mother, with her back up against the wall, where she began to walk into her destiny. Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and insulin dependent at the age of twenty-one, is no dream that any young adult wants to imagine. She experienced severe loss of self- confidence, lack of self- esteem and began to blame God for all her pains in life. Without ever realizing it, God was shaping what looked like a mess of a life, into a creative piece of art that would inspire many. It was during these trying moments, where Sharmetra discovered how writing would change her life forever. Experiencing a job layoff from Bank of America in 2013, she decided it was time to step out on faith and try God one more time.

With all fears bottled inside, but hope for a better tomorrow, she went on to publish her very first book “The Thrilling Chronicles of Mayfield” and then " Deliverance in the Midst of Pain," and " The Mysterious. Snack Snatcher." She now hosts writing workshops for inspired youth and adults who may be interested in becoming a writer someday. She has engaged in women conferences, book-signs, youth conferences and assembles, speaking to groups of various sizes. Through her trials, both good and bad, she has learned to trust Gods plan, no matter what. Everything that has happened to her, she uses as fuel to inspire, equip and influence others around her.

Living in a time where technology and social distancing practices have become the new norm, my speaking styles will often times include visual presentations, and hands on games using technology to increase audience engagement. To be successful, my performance will need the ability to be presented visually, a pa sound system for music and a microphone connection.
