Audiences can expect to be motivated, inspired and equipped with the courage to go out and create an unrecognizable life, by the power that is already within them. Topics will include, leadership, motivation entrepreneurship, daring to be different and overcoming fear despite the odds stacked against you. There will be audience engagement for a more joyous experience. Schools, youth and women events often book me for virtual and in person workshops, community fairs, youth parties and seminars.

Sharmetra Aubrey Lewis is proof that where you start does not determine where you finish.

A small-town country girl born and raised in Homer, Louisiana, Sharmetra is an Assistant Principal, published author, professional development trainer, and inspirational speaker who is passionate about helping others recognize their greatness and boldly walk in purpose.

She holds a Master’s degree in Education with Principal Certification and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. As an educational leader, Sharmetra has spent her career inspiring youth, coaching and developing educators, strengthening leadership capacity, and promoting a love for literacy. In 2022, she launched a Young Writers Program and guided 20 students in grades 3–8 on their journey to becoming published authors.

But her message extends far beyond her professional accomplishments.

Growing up in poverty, becoming a young mother, being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 21, experiencing a near-death health crisis, and navigating career setbacks challenged Sharmetra’s confidence, faith, and sense of purpose. Yet the very experiences she once viewed as weaknesses became the foundation of her strength.

Today, she uses her journey to teach what she calls the 4 Powerful P’s: Pain, Perseverance, Passion, and Purpose.

Whether speaking to youth, educators, women, aspiring authors, or emerging leaders, Sharmetra brings energy, authenticity, faith, humor, and inspiration to every room. Her audiences are challenged to stop allowing their circumstances to define them, embrace the power of their story, and recognize that adversity can become the fuel that propels them toward purpose.

Living in a time where technology and social distancing practices have become the new norm, my speaking styles will often times include visual presentations, and hands on games using technology to increase audience engagement. To be successful, my performance will need the ability to be presented visually, a pa sound system for music and a microphone connection.
