February 24, 2026Birthday party hit
We had a bug theme birthday party for our son and was able to hire Save Nature.org.
They sent two very knowledgeable, friendly and fun people to entertain 32 rowdy kids. I was very impressed with Ren & Zoe’s knowledge, patience and enthusiasm they brought to the party. The parents were even engaged and impressed with the educational experience they received. We got to touch and see up close many unique critters such as a scorpion, stick bug, leaf bug , beetle and some other impressive insects not native to the USA. Well worth the money and much appreciated. They were early and brought fun stickers for the kids to take home..

July 21, 2025Captivating presentation
We hired the Insect Discovery Lab for our son's 5th birthday party. It fully held the attention of 10 kids between the ages of 4-10 (and several adults) for a full hour. It was exactly what we were looking for!

January 15, 2025A memorable and enriching experience
Everything was handled perfectly from the planning to the event itself. There was plenty of time to hold and interact with the insects, and Kelsey provided great information while allowing everyone to ask questions. Thanks for providing such a meaningful experience for the kids!

What to expect
Life will never be the same after you hold the sturdy and tanklike Darkling beetle or the colorful (rainbow-like) eastern lubber grasshopper, there are no words to describe having 240 legs of the giant African millipede walk across both hands at the same time or having your imagination stretched as you look at the Malaysian walking stick's face, knowing George Lucas used it to inspire him to create alien faces for the Bar Scene in Star Wars. Then there is the whip-tail scorpion (not a true scorpion) that uses acetic acid to protect itself, which smells exactly like vinegar because it is! Just 85% more potent! You can make a communication connection with the Madagascar hissing cockroach - a few hisses and you will feel like a National Geographic Explorer. And of course there are a few more surprises.

Additional booking notes
The Insect Discovery Lab is an intimate experience and often excels when the audience is between 20-25 people (both kids and adults). Ideally the program is held indoors to assure no animals decide to take up residence in a wild habitat. No sound system or special technical components are necessary. Once the Education Specialist arrives you are ready to go.
