Aime is also passionate about educating others about domestic violence and relationship violence. Speaking and facilitating workshops for girls and women. As an Empowerment Leader and a 3-time International Best Selling Author/Compiler Aime Hutton the founder of Inch by Inch Empowerment has over 15 years’ experience working with girls age 11 – 17. She wants girls to believe in themselves, and find their inner confidence. She has facilitated experiential workshops for organizations such as Calgary Area Girl Guides, KEDS Dance Studio in Calgary, Calgary Boys and Girls Club, the Famous 5 Foundation Calgary, Edmonton Soroptomist Club, and has skyped presented to the Power Girls Circle in South Africa. Topics such as healthy relationships, being brave, and bullying are covered in her workshops. Why does Aime have such a passion for this? She herself was severely bullied from grades 3 – 8, and was in an abusive relationship and stalked while studying full time in University away from home.
She is also a true miracle survivor. Aime was born 3 months early in 1976, and was given a 24hr chance of survival because her birth weight was 1 pound 12 ounces. She has been seen on CTV Ottawa, in the Calgary Metro, and on Shine FM in Calgary sharing her story.
Aime writes for multiple eZines in Canada and the USA about her own experiences of being in business, overcoming life challenges, and empowering the next generation of girls to be brave, bold, and celebrate being themselves. The book she is most proud of is the one she compiled herself in 2014 called “Inch by Inch ~ Growing in Life”. This book has currently raised over $3000 for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario the Neonate Intensive Care Unit, in Ottawa, Canada.
Due to Aime's love of culture and learning about the Indigenous Peoples of Canada Aime was awarded the “Friend of Diversity Peace and Friendship” award for 2017 for the province of Alberta. Aime was a finalist for the International Femtor Awards 2015 for eWomen Network in the category of Business Matchmaker from Dallas, Texas, USA. Being 1 of 6 in North America, an the only Canadian. As well as in 2016 was a finalist in the Canadian Business Chicks Women of Inspiration Awards in the category Humanitarian/Community in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
