Allie played for our ceremony and did an absolutely incredible job. I guests could not stop raving about her. Not only was she an incredible musician, but she was amazingly professional Allie was early, set up everything she needed, worked with our Dj to ensure everything was setup well ahead of the ceremony, and even checked in with me to ensure there wasn’t anything I needed from her that we hadn’t yet discussed. Hiring Impulse Strings for you event or wedding it truly a no-brainer. It was without a doubt my favorite touch to our day and will forever remember it.

Cellist and the service were prompt and they arrived early for set up and performed wonderfully in central park for our small wedding. They were able to accomodate our music requests on a very short time frame and were extremely professional. Would recommend Impulse Strings to anyone who needs a classical performer in NYC.

So happy we booked Impulse Strings for our wedding. We were able to request three songs to be arranged (that were not already on their extensive play list). We did not chose the easiest songs (EDM songs), but they absolutely nailed it! We booked a trio to play for two hours- ceremony and cocktail hour. I thought they were very well priced considering the custom arrangements and how good they were. Alexandra was also so great to communicate with via email. So glad they were part of our day!

Founded by New York City-based violinist and violist Alexandria Pritchard, Impulse Strings is a collective of classically trained musicians redefining what it means to bring live string music to modern events. Additional booking notes
To ensure the best possible performance, we kindly ask that the following technical and environmental requirements be met:
🎻 Weather Conditions
We do not perform outdoors in rain, snow, extreme heat/cold, or strong wind, as these conditions can damage our instruments and affect performance quality.
If your event is outdoors, please have an indoor or fully covered backup location available in case of inclement weather.
🪑 Setup Needs
Each musician requires one armless chair (no exceptions)
A flat, clean, and stable surface for setup (especially important for outdoor performances)
Access to shade or cover for outdoor events, even in good weather, to protect instruments from sun exposure
🔌 Amplified Performances
If amplification is required, we will bring all necessary equipment including cables, speakers, and backing tracks
Please ensure access to a power outlet nearby if electric instruments or speakers will be used
We’ll coordinate with you ahead of time to review the event layout, timing, and logistics, so everything runs smoothly on the day. If you have questions or unique venue considerations, we’re happy to talk through solutions!
