Overview
A unique and effervescent comic who serves up an absurdist, silly string of brain-twisty topics as diverse as single cell balloon animals, warped French history, Wally the Happy Talking Neutrino, Oog Son of Ahg from 30,000 BC the Neanderthal entertainer, a sea shanty of fresh diary products, Ed's MicroWorld of Fun, and more. Ed fits great for a silly, off-beat time with adult friendly ingredients and family friendly language. He's always a hit at coffeehouses, performance studios, artist spaces, and alternative entertainment venues with his own produced show "Geek Comedy Hour".

May 6, 2019Great to work with
Ed was great to work with. Half my audience walked out, as his material is a little too goofy for adults, and too high brow for kids. He had a great attitude and dealt well with the audience. He incorporated our local culture into his show. Definitely the most affordable comic out there.

What to expect
Ed Smyth impudently ignores the sensible rules of comedy, blending kazoo metal rock, single cell balloon animals, warped French history, Wally the Happy Talking Neutrino, confused sock puppets attempting historical moments, and “10 second theater” bits ranging from invading Martians battling incoherent mumbling earthlings to a sampling of “Jaws” re-envisioned as a Busby Berkeley musical.
