Are you tired of hiring bands that are so loud that you cant talk to the person sitting across or next to you? If so, you are in luck! Ikembe is a professional Contemporary Jazz, Standard jazz, Neo-Soul band.
We understand our role as ambiance setters. Setting the right tone or mood for any event or function. Our niche is to perform a variety of genres of music throughout our show.
Our primary venues are weddings, birthday parties, social gatherings, cocktail parties, restaurants and corporate and private parties. You will not be disappointed! We are not a Big Band or Dixie Jazz band! We hope to be performing for you and your guest soon....... Thank you!

Ikembe recently played for our party of around 150 guests. They were so easy to work with, and communicated clearly and often about the entire booking process. The music they played was exactly the sample of Jazz, R&B and Blues that I requested, and they hit it out of the park with their styling and sound!!! I can't thank them enough for being the highlight of my dad's 70th birthday party. Ikembe Jazz With A Twist is not some hobby or tribute band. They are all gifted musicians and singers, and deliver a polished performance. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BAND!!!!

Ikembe Jazz With a Twist was an absolute hit at my mother's 70th Birthday Party! First off, they were extremely professional and accommodating. I goofed on the time of the party, and they were able to adjust. Their song selection was awesome and they switched to dance music after the dinner so the guests could dance.
My mother was extremely pleased and the guests had an amazing time. Everyday since the party, mom mentions how much fun she had and how all her friends are calling and texting her kudos on throwing a great party.
Thank you for helping us celebrate our mother and provide a memorable experience that we all will cherish!

Ikembe showed up early to set up for my private party. As dinner was being served, they played at an appropriate volume so people could have dinner conversation. The lead singer was engaging and entertaining to the crowd. When I asked their leader to change to some dance music, they were polite and accomodating. I would have them again at my next event!!!

What to expect
You are to expect an evening of high energy we can perform as loud or as soft as your event requires. We perform Smooth Jazz, Neo-Soul and Jazz standards . We are not your average jazz band.
For the clients that are out of town please expect a hire quote than from clients who live in Cleveland. The hire price includes the time to drive to and from your venue and a deposit will be required. For Clients in Ontario please note that our quote will include lodging for the evening in Ontario since Ontario is more than our 120 miles radius. Any venue more that 120 miles will be a higher quote
About
Ikembe consist of professional musicians that are pleasing to the eye as well as the ears. We've performed mostly at private functions and occasionally a club or two. We've been together for about 10 years. We perform as a five piece, or four piece with either vocalist or saxophonist. We also perform as a three piece. More information can be located on our website
