January 3, 2022He did amazing!!! We hired Jonathan for our company holiday party as a little entertainment and that one hour show was a HIT! Naturally, not very many people wanted to volunteer and for those that were "forced" to be a participant in the show, didn't get hypnotize or stay hypnotized for long. Out of 40 people, 7 participated. 4 of the 7 were hypnotized for nearly the entire show. It was great and so funny! Everyone had a wonderful time watching Jonathan perform. Of course, there were moments we all thought "That can't be, he was in on the trick! Is she faking? That can't be real!" but it was in fact real! We asked the participants at the end of the show if it really worked and they confirmed it did. I learned that the trick is simple - just listen and follow Jonathan's instructions; focus on him and not the crowd. If you do that, the show will be a success! It is definitely something you and your coworkers will talk about forever! We're so glad we hired Jonathan. Definitely recommend for your event if you want something wild and mystic!

December 9, 2019Unfortunately, Jonathan was unable to hypnotize anyone at the party. We had about 85 guests. The only person that was supposedly hypnotized was the lead singer of the band; who wasn't even part of the guest list. She was another paid performer. So... we were disappointed it didn't work out. It definitely killed the vibe of the party because he tried for an hour and sadly, nothing worked...

Unfortunately against my advisement it was kept a complete secret that a hypnotist was being hired. When I found out, about an hour and a half before walking on stage, I tried to explain that keeping the hypnotist a secret was not a good idea and that people needed to know so they were ready for the show.
I was told it would still be kept a secret, and even asked to pick up my business cards from the table so no one would know.
There may have been 85 people at the party, however when I started my show there were less than 50 people actually in the room. The people who were in the room were much more interested in talking at their tables, despite my repeated attempts at asking for just a few minutes of quite so I could begin the show.
The atmosphere in the audience was incredibly tense, and they were obviously uncomfortable with not knowing I would be there. When my intro played and I walked out onto the stage, there was no clapping, no energy, no enthusiasm at all. The one line jokes and ice breakers I regularly use to get a crowd loosened up got no response. I gave every thing I had to this performance but unfortunately it was not enough to overcome the fear, shock, and anxiety that the crowd had from not being told a hypnotist was going to be their main entertainment.

For my stage show, the performance begins with a brief and interactive introduction to hypnosis that gets everyone excited to be a part of the show. I then ask for volunteers from the audience to come up on stage and be the stars of the show. More people will want to volunteer than are necessary, but 12-20 self-selecting volunteers are invited to come up on stage and the fun begins!
I am also able to perform what is called street hypnosis. This is where I literally walk up to a group of people, introduce myself as a hypnotist, and go right into hypnotizing people in the group. There is no stage, no setup, just a very fun and informal hypnosis “skit”. I have done this at bars, parks, clubs, and even in the hour or so before a scheduled stage show.
I am a professional hypnotist who performs comedy hypnosis shows all over the country. I have performed for high school graduations, fund raisers, social events, parties and more. My shows are funny, friendly, and encourage audience participation. Everything that I do is intended to entertain, and to ensure both the volunteers on stage and the audience are having a great time. No one will leave the show without having a great time and everyone will be talking about the show for months after.
